You will pass landmarks such as Castel Sant’Angelo, Tiber Island, and the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls while your guide shares local stories and hidden details that bring the city’s past to life. Most of the ride takes place on dedicated paths, ensuring a safe experience for all skill levels.
The tour also highlights lesser-known treasures tucked along the riverbanks. Enjoy photo opportunities of historic bridges, waterside palaces, and charming urban corners, creating lasting memories from a perspective many visitors miss. The route blends leisurely cycling with rich cultural insight, perfect for families, beginners, and anyone looking for a relaxed ride through Rome.
To finish, the group stops at a beloved local kiosk for a well-deserved treat, such as a traditional gelato or grattachecca. This pause allows you to recharge and take in the city from the riverside before returning to the starting point, completing a pleasant and memorable tour along one of Rome’s most famous waterways.
The tour follows the Tiber River, a central feature of Rome’s historic development. You will cycle along mostly traffic-free paths, weaving past historic palaces, bridges, and churches, all while enjoying the river’s reflection of the cityscape. The route highlights both popular landmarks and quieter areas rarely seen by tourists.
Starting near Lungotevere delle Armi, the tour moves through key riverside points, including Tiber Island and Gazometro. Your ride offers a combination of historical insight and scenic urban cycling, giving a clear view of Rome’s architecture and local life from a safe and comfortable perspective.
Riders should be comfortable on an e-bike and able to manage short stretches on the pavement, although the majority of the route is on the cycle path. The tour is suitable for beginners and families, but a basic level of cycling skill is needed.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activity and bring water to stay hydrated. Riders should follow all guide instructions to ensure a safe journey along the Tiber and maintain awareness of other cyclists and pedestrians in the area.
Experienced local guides lead the tour, combining historical knowledge with practical insights to make the ride engaging and informative. The group remains small, allowing personalised attention, safer navigation, and more interaction during stops.
E-bikes, helmets, and locks are included, providing a hassle-free and comfortable ride. With a mix of major landmarks, hidden city corners, and local treats, this tour offers a refreshing way to explore Rome safely and at a relaxed pace.
Light rain doesn’t affect the running of the tour, so the activity goes ahead as planned. Participants are offered complimentary waterproof ponchos to keep them comfortable throughout, and the guide adjusts the pace if needed to suit the conditions. Many groups enjoy the experience just as much in gentle rain, especially with the extra layer provided.
More severe conditions, such as heavy rain or thunderstorms, mean the tour cannot run safely. If this happens, the session is cancelled and the full amount paid is refunded. Safety is the guiding factor in these decisions, and updates are passed on as early as possible so participants know exactly what to expect.
We welcome a wide range of ages on our e-bike tours, and the equipment provided is matched carefully to each rider. Younger children can join using either a rear baby seat for ages 1–5 (up to 20 kg) or a trailer bike for ages 6–9, both of which are securely attached to an adult’s e-bike. From age 10 onward, children may ride their own e-bike if they have solid independent cycling experience and are at least 140 cm tall, though we generally recommend independent riding from age 11.
There are also a few upper limits to keep everyone safe and comfortable. The maximum recommended age for participants is 75, and the weight limit for any rider or equipment setup is 100 kg. These guidelines help ensure each bike performs as intended and that every participant enjoys a smooth and controlled ride.
Our regular tours operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants, which keeps each outing comfortable and well-paced. These small-group limits apply to standard daily departures, ensuring riders receive plenty of guidance and support from the team throughout the experience.
For larger parties, the capacity expands significantly. The centre is fully equipped to organise multiple groups at the same time and can handle single bookings far above the usual numbers, with the ability to accommodate up to 80 participants in one coordinated session. This structure allows big groups to enjoy the same quality of service while moving through the route smoothly and safely.

Children can participate using child seats or bike extensions if under 139 cm, while older children can ride their own e-bikes from age 12. Infants up to 20 kg can join safely in child seats.
