The Grade 3 Mountain or Winter Skills Day focuses on developing your technical abilities and ensuring you can navigate complex, challenging terrain safely. Grade 3 days require a good level of fitness and a strong head for heights, as you’ll be tackling steeper ground, exposed ridges, and possibly using scrambling techniques to ascend and descend. In winter months, the focus shifts to essential winter skills such as ice axe and crampon use, avalanche awareness, and movement on snow and ice.
