Coaching tailored to your climbing goals provides a supportive environment to focus on areas you’d like to improve. Whether you’re looking to fine-tune techniques, overcome challenges, or build a stronger foundation, indoor climbing walls offer the perfect setting for a structured, personalised approach. These one-off sessions can also be linked for ongoing development, depending on your needs.
The session begins with a friendly conversation to analyse your current skills and goals, followed by a guided warm-up tailored to your needs. The focus then shifts to addressing specific challenges or weaknesses through hands-on climbing practice. Sessions are conducted in a relaxed, collaborative environment, with the coach climbing alongside you for additional guidance.
Following the session, you’ll receive a detailed session report. This includes a summary of what was covered, tips for self-improvement, and suggestions for your next steps. Your warm-up is also a key focus area, with advice on how to optimise it for your future climbs.
Most sessions are held in climbing walls across North Wales, such as the Beacon or the Indy. The coach may travel further if requested, with travel fees agreed upon in advance.
If you’re already attending a course or event nearby, sessions may also be arranged at those locations.
Participants of all climbing levels are welcome, but you should have access to appropriate climbing gear and pay for wall entry unless otherwise arranged.
With over two decades of climbing expertise, our coach combines practical experience across various disciplines, including trad climbing, winter climbing, and bouldering, with professional qualifications that ensure a high-quality, structured approach to coaching. Having climbed over 1,100 boulder problems across 130 venues in ten countries, the depth of knowledge spans diverse rock types, climbing styles, and challenges, providing you with insights that go beyond the basics.
Sessions are not just about climbing but are designed to build your confidence, refine your technique, and tackle specific challenges. The coach’s passion for helping others succeed shines through in every session, ensuring you feel supported and leave with clear steps to continue improving.
Please bring your personal climbing equipment, including shoes, harness, and chalk. Ensure you have appropriate clothing for indoor climbing.
Entry fees to the climbing wall are not included, so be prepared to cover that cost unless a group rate has been arranged in advance.
It's recommended not to warm up before the session, as warm-up techniques are an integral part of the coaching and will be addressed during your time.
If you'd like to continue climbing after the session, please inform us beforehand so we can tailor the session accordingly.
Sessions typically take place at climbing walls in North Wales, such as the Beacon and the Indy.
If you prefer a different location, please discuss this with us in advance. Travel to locations outside North Wales may incur additional fees.
There is no specific age limit; however, participants should have a basic understanding of climbing and be able to engage in physical activity.
If you have any concerns about suitability, please contact us via the adventuro chat to discuss your situation.
After your coaching session, you'll receive a detailed session report outlining the areas covered, personalised recommendations for improvement, and guidance for your future climbing sessions.
Come with specific goals or areas you'd like to improve. Bringing a positive attitude and being open to feedback will help you get the most out of your session.
