Each course in the PSAI Nitrox and Trimix series has specific prerequisites. As you progress to more advanced courses like Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range Nitrox, and the Trimix levels, prerequisites include the successful completion of the previous course, a certain number of logged dives, and proof of good physical health. It's essential to have a solid foundation in diving basics before advancing to technical aspects of Nitrox and Trimix diving.
The duration of each course varies. The Nitrox Diver course might take a weekend, whereas the Trimix courses could span several days due to their complexity. Each course typically combines theoretical classroom sessions, practical exercises, and open-water dives. Theoretical aspects cover gas blending, equipment, and safety protocols, while practical sessions focus on real-life application of these principles.
