Put your communication skills to the test with a blindfolded off-road driving challenge like no other. Using a Land Rover Discovery TD5, you'll take turns behind the wheel—completely blindfolded—while your teammates guide you around a circuit using only restricted verbal cues. It’s awkward, chaotic, and brilliant fun for small groups looking for something that stands out.
Once you arrive, your group will be greeted and briefed on how the blindfold challenge works. After getting comfortable in the vehicle, one person will be blindfolded and take the driver’s seat. The rest of the group act as navigators—though there’s a twist. Standard directional words like "left" and "right" are banned, forcing you to get creative with how you guide your driver around the course. It’s a proper test of clarity, calmness, and quick thinking.
The terrain includes some bumps, slight inclines, and enough quirks to keep it interesting, but everything is paced at a safe, controlled speed. Everyone in the group gets a turn behind the wheel, with lots of laughs guaranteed as drivers rely entirely on their team to keep them on track. An instructor is nearby to supervise and keep things safe but leaves the navigating to your group. It’s light-hearted, slightly chaotic, and surprisingly effective for team bonding.
Set in a private 40-acre off-road site just outside Farnsfield, the circuit is purpose-built for blindfolded driving. It features tight turns, uneven terrain, and clear boundaries that make the course manageable but still engaging. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve done off-roading before, the course is unique every time thanks to the unpredictable instructions.
The site is found on Kirklington Road off the A617 heading toward Newark. It’s around 200 yards on the left from the A614 roundabout. While NG22 8BP will get you close, don’t rely entirely on sat navs—they can mislead. Signage and staff will guide you the rest of the way on arrival.
All participants must be aged 18 or over. No driving licence is needed, and previous driving experience isn’t essential—everything happens off-road in a supervised, safe environment. If you’re nervous, the instructors will offer support without taking over.
A basic level of mobility is required to get in and out of the vehicle and operate the pedals, but no high-speed manoeuvres or advanced skills are needed. Just bring an open mind, a sense of humour, and some patience with your teammates.
The blindfolded driving challenge stands out as one of the simplest yet most effective activities for encouraging teamwork. It’s the kind of session that quickly breaks the ice and gets everyone laughing—perfect for small group outings, birthday events, or casual team-building sessions.
Run by experienced instructors on a private site, the activity is run safely and smoothly from start to finish. With proper off-road vehicles, a great setting, and plenty of creative twists, this is a challenge you’ll be talking about long after it’s finished.
