This is a fantastic opportunity to explore some of Scotland’s most famous mountain trails. Perfect for those looking to conquer some of the country’s highest peaks, the adventure takes you through remote and wild landscapes, including iconic Munros and unique mountain terrain.
On this adventure, you will ride through some of Scotland’s most iconic mountain landscapes, with trails that vary from high cliffs to gentle plateaus. Whether you choose to ride on Ben Macdui, around Loch Muick, or up Mount Keen, there will be plenty of opportunity to take in the beauty of these remote areas. Your guide will ensure you’re supported throughout the ride, sharing local knowledge and tips to help you get the most out of the experience.
Expect a variety of terrains that require some mountain biking skill, so be prepared for a day that will challenge you while also providing a rewarding sense of achievement. With a maximum of 8 riders, this adventure allows for a more personalised experience, with your guide available to offer assistance whenever needed.
The adventure takes place in the heart of the Cairngorms, an area famous for its rugged landscapes and remote beauty. This region is home to some of Scotland’s highest peaks, such as Beinn a’ Bhuird and Beinn Avon.
You’ll also explore areas around Loch Muick and Lochnagar, offering amazing views over valleys, cliffs, and ridgelines. This remote part of the Cairngorms offers a chance to connect with nature in its purest form, away from the usual crowds.
Riders must be 16 or older and have their own mountain bike suitable for the terrain. Make sure your bike is equipped for mountainous trails as you’ll encounter a variety of surfaces, including rocky paths and steep ascents.
The Bike Hub provides helmets and protective pads, but please let us know in advance if you require any other equipment, such as bike rentals. Basic mountain biking experience is helpful to ensure you get the most out of the ride.
Chris and Kirsten bring a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for mountain biking to each of their adventures. With qualifications ranging from British Cycling MTB Level 2 to international certifications from Austria and France, Chris’s coaching expertise is unmatched. He’s equally at home guiding on gentle cycle paths or tackling challenging enduro trails, always with a focus on enjoying the ride.
Kirsten’s love for biking started early in life and has since grown into a commitment to guiding others on unforgettable mountain biking journeys. As the “route planner” among friends, she’s always ready to lead you on the best trails, including her own participation in major MTB events. Her qualifications as an MTB leader and Go MTB instructor ensure you’ll be in safe, skilled hands.

Your coach or guide will carry essential safety equipment and spares, but individual issues may not always be addressed immediately in group settings.
Yes. You must bring your own mountain bike suitable for the terrain you’ll be riding.
Make sure your bike is equipped for mountain trails, as you will encounter rocky paths, steep climbs, and descents.
If you need to rent a bike, please let us know in advance, and we’ll assist with arrangements.
On-site amenities include a café, toilets, a distillery, outdoor clothing and gear shops, a dog grooming service, and a barbecue spot.

Basic mountain biking experience is recommended. You should be comfortable riding on varied terrain, including dirt trails and uphill sections.
This experience will help you enjoy the ride to its fullest, though our guides are here to support you throughout the day, regardless of skill level.
In the event of severe weather, safety is our top priority. If conditions are unsafe, we may need to reschedule or cancel the ride. You’ll be informed in advance if there are any changes to your session due to weather.
If it’s only light rain, we may still go ahead, as mountain biking can be a great way to experience the outdoors even in mild weather conditions.
