Yoga and Paddleboarding through adventure Paddleboarding was fantastic! A great experience as part of my sister’s hen do. Lucy was upbeat, had brilliant knowledge to help up with equipment and took some brilliant photos of us on the water!

Learn to paddleboard in a safe, scenic setting on Loch Lomond. This session is perfect for first-timers or anyone wanting to practise essential skills while enjoying the peaceful loch surroundings. Expert guidance ensures you gain confidence on the water while having fun.
Your session starts with a meeting at the pre-confirmed location near Luss, where your instructor will fit you with a paddleboard, buoyancy aid, and wetsuit if required. A short on-land briefing introduces basic paddling, stance, and turning techniques before moving onto the water. Initial practice focuses on balance and gentle paddling in shallow areas.
Once comfortable, you’ll explore sections of the loch under close supervision, practising strokes and turns. The small group size ensures personalised guidance, helping you build confidence while enjoying the calm surroundings. Wildlife along the shore, including swans, ducks, and kingfishers, adds to the experience.
The session concludes with a gentle return to the shore and a short review of your progress. Photos may be taken to capture your first paddleboarding experience, and feedback is given to help you continue improving your skills. Private sessions or family trips can also be arranged for those wanting a tailored experience.
Luss is situated on the western shore of Loch Lomond, offering calm waters, forested surroundings, and plenty of open space for a safe beginner paddleboarding environment. The area is ideal for wildlife spotting and enjoying the loch in a relaxed setting.
You’ll receive final meeting instructions a few days before the session via email. The Visitor Centre car park in Luss is nearby, and the area is accessible via local public transport. The site has parking facilities and walking paths, making it easy to arrive and prepare for your session.
Participants do not need any prior paddleboarding experience, though a basic level of fitness is helpful. Safety equipment is provided, and a waiver must be completed before the session begins.
For those needing extra support or adjustments, private sessions can be arranged. The instructor adapts instruction to suit varying skill levels, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and confidence-building experience.
Sessions are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and safe. Qualified instructors provide hands-on guidance, helping beginners develop skills and confidence while enjoying the loch’s peaceful setting.
Small groups allow the instructor to focus on each participant’s progress, offering feedback on balance, paddling technique, and turning. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with practical skills and the confidence to continue paddleboarding independently.
You’ll need to come prepared for time on the water, so make sure to bring essentials that keep you comfortable before, during, and after your session. A towel and a full change of clothes are recommended in case you get wet, along with swimwear or trunks to wear under a wetsuit. It’s also a good idea to wear shoes that can get wet or bring a spare pair for afterwards.
Snacks and drinks will help keep your energy up, especially on longer sessions. If you take any medication, please ensure you have it with you on the day. And, most importantly, bring a sense of adventure and a willingness to have fun—this makes all the difference on the water.
These activities are open to participants aged 8 and above. This ensures everyone taking part can safely handle the equipment and enjoy the experience. The sessions are designed to be inclusive and family-friendly while still maintaining the right level of supervision and safety for younger participants.
Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian either on the water with them or nearby at the viewing point for the duration of the session. This policy may vary slightly depending on the specific activity or location, but safety and supervision are always the top priority.
All sessions depend on the weather and water conditions to make sure they’re safe and fun for everyone involved. In the case of strong winds, heavy rain, or unsafe water levels, sessions may need to be postponed or moved to a more sheltered location. The decision will always be made with your safety in mind.
If a session has to be rescheduled or relocated, you’ll be contacted in advance with as much notice as possible. The team keeps a close eye on forecasts and conditions, and any changes will be clearly communicated so that you can plan your day with confidence.
Most beginners achieve standing balance within 10–15 minutes. Starting kneeling allows you to build stability gradually. The instructor provides personalised tips to help you improve quickly.
