Archery Tag® combines the excitement of team competition with the skill of archery, creating an action-packed activity that's suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. Using specially designed foam-tipped arrows, players battle it out behind inflatable bunkers in a game that's easy to learn and great fun from the very first round.
Your session begins with a full safety briefing and introduction to the equipment. The coach will demonstrate how to use the bows, arrows and protective face masks before guiding everyone through the game rules and objectives. No previous archery experience is needed, and most participants quickly pick up the basics before the action starts.
Once the teams are ready, players take their positions behind inflatable bunkers spread across the playing field. The aim is simple: eliminate opposing players by hitting them with foam-tipped arrows or work together to knock out the target discs on the opposing team's five-spot target. Success requires a combination of accuracy, teamwork, communication and quick decision-making.
As the game develops, arrows are constantly collected and reused, keeping the action flowing without interruption. Different game formats can be introduced throughout the session to keep things varied, creating a competitive atmosphere that is equally suited to birthday parties, corporate events, youth groups and gatherings of friends.
Sessions can take place at Sutton Green near Guildford, where there is plenty of space to create an exciting playing arena complete with bunkers and targets. The Surrey countryside setting provides an excellent backdrop for outdoor group activities and team events.
For maximum flexibility, Archery Tag® can also be delivered at your chosen venue. Sports fields, school grounds, village halls, community centres and other suitable locations can often accommodate the activity, allowing groups to enjoy the experience closer to home.
No previous archery or combat sports experience is required. Full instruction is provided, making the activity suitable for both complete beginners and those looking to test their skills against friends or colleagues.
Bookings are based on a minimum of eight participants and a maximum of twelve. Groups with fewer than eight people are welcome to attend, although the minimum eight-person booking charge will still apply.

No. Archery Tag® has been designed so that complete beginners can get involved quickly. Before the games begin, you'll receive instruction on how to use the equipment safely and effectively.
Most players find they are confidently taking part within a short time, regardless of whether they have ever held a bow before.
The foam-tipped arrows are designed specifically for the game and are much softer than traditional archery arrows. Most participants compare being hit to being struck by a soft foam ball.
Protective face masks are worn throughout gameplay and safety rules are followed carefully to create a safe playing environment.
Many people compare the two activities because both involve teams competing against each other. However, Archery Tag® uses reusable foam-tipped arrows rather than paintballs, so there is no paint, no mess and no need to continually purchase ammunition.
The game focuses on movement, teamwork and accuracy while offering a very different experience from paintball.
Yes. Unlike many outdoor combat-style activities, Archery Tag® can often be played both indoors and outdoors provided there is enough suitable space available.
Sports halls, large community venues and indoor activity spaces can often accommodate the equipment and playing area.
Comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement is recommended. Trainers or other flat, secure footwear are usually the best choice.
For outdoor sessions, participants should also dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day.
Players are typically issued with two or three arrows at the start of each game. Throughout the session, arrows are collected from the playing area and returned to play.
This system keeps the action moving continuously while encouraging players to think strategically about when to shoot and when to retrieve arrows.
The standard playing field is approximately 100 feet by 50 feet, although layouts can be adapted depending on the available venue and group requirements.
Inflatable bunkers and targets are positioned throughout the arena to create cover and encourage tactical gameplay.
All bookings operate with a minimum group size of eight participants. If fewer than eight people attend, the minimum eight-person booking charge will still apply.
This allows the session to be fully prepared and staffed while ensuring every group receives the same high-quality experience.
