Take your windsurfing further with a focused progression session on the Costa del Sol. Designed for intermediate and advanced riders, this lesson helps you build speed, efficiency, and control through targeted coaching on the water.
This session is designed for riders who are already comfortable sailing and want to move into more performance-focused windsurfing. It begins with a short onshore briefing where key techniques are explained clearly, including body position, sail control, and how to generate and manage power more efficiently.
On the water, the focus shifts to applying those techniques in real conditions. The instructor provides ongoing coaching while you sail, helping you refine movements such as harness positioning, timing in transitions, and how to maintain speed through manoeuvres. At this level, small technical adjustments can have a big impact, and the session is structured to help you identify and correct them.
Depending on your level and the conditions, you may work on planing, faster gybes, water starts, or sailing in more dynamic conditions. The aim is to move beyond basic control and develop a more efficient, confident, and technically sound style of windsurfing.
The session takes place in Estepona, along the coastline between Estepona and Marbella. This area offers consistent wind and varied conditions, making it well suited to progression at higher levels.
You’ll meet at Calle de Levante 53 in the Benamara area, near the beach by Asociación Torre de Baños. The location provides direct access to open water, allowing for longer runs, higher speeds, and more space to practise advanced techniques.
This session is not suitable for beginners. Participants should already be confident sailing in both directions, maintaining balance, and controlling the sail in a range of conditions.
You should have completed multiple sessions or have equivalent experience and be ready to focus on technique development. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, as higher-level windsurfing is more physically demanding.
Progression at this level depends on refining technique rather than simply spending more time on the water. This session focuses on the details that unlock performance, helping you move more efficiently and with greater control.
With consistent wind conditions and adaptable equipment, you’ll always be working in an environment that supports progression. Combined with structured coaching, this creates an effective session for developing speed, confidence, and advanced windsurfing skills.
This session is aimed at intermediate to advanced windsurfers who are already confident sailing and want to improve performance.
If you are still working on basic balance and short runs, a beginner or progression session would be more suitable.
