The course spans six days, with the first five days dedicated to learning sessions that cover theoretical knowledge and practical skills in lifesaving, water safety, first aid, and rescue techniques.
The final day is reserved for an assessment to evaluate your proficiency in all taught areas.
The course takes place in Braunton, North Devon, a perfect setting to hone your beach lifeguarding skills with practical sessions in a real beach environment.
Participants must be at least 16 years old, fluent in English, able to swim 400m in a 25m pool in under 7 minutes 30 seconds, run 200m on a beach in under 40 seconds, and have basic experience with beach and ocean environments.
