You will be guided by experienced canoe instructors as you travel through gorgeous landscapes, making the most of Scotland's natural beauty.
Day 1
The journey begins at 9am at Banavie Car Park, Fort William. After meeting the guides and getting familiar with your equipment, you’ll launch into the canal to start practising for the lochs ahead. The first night will be spent wild camping on the shores of Loch Lochy.
Day 2
A morning of paddling takes you across Loch Lochy, through peaceful waters and amazing views. Later, you'll enter the canal, eventually setting up camp along the shores of Loch Oich. For those interested, there’s a stop at the famous floating pub, 'The Eagle Barge Inn.'
Day 3
The expedition continues across Loch Oich, before heading to Fort Augustus for a well-deserved break. After lunch, it's time to tackle Loch Ness, the largest of the lochs. Wild camping on the shores of Loch Ness is the perfect way to cap off the day.
Day 4
Loch Ness awaits! Keep an eye out for its legendary monster as you paddle across its length, soaking in the rugged scenery. The day is filled with open waters and majestic surroundings, providing an adventurous atmosphere until you reach camp.
Day 5
After breakfast, and maybe a refreshing dip, you'll take on the final stretch along the canal. Reaching Inverness marks the completion of the adventure. Transport back to Banavie is provided, ensuring a smooth end to your Scottish canoeing expedition.
