What is TDI?
Technical Diving International (TDI) is one of the world's largest technical diver training agencies. It sits alongside SDI in the same training family and focuses on divers who go beyond recreational no-decompression limits: staged decompression, mixed gas, sidemount, cave and closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) pathways.
TDI courses are equipment-specific and depth-specific. A certification on one rebreather unit does not automatically transfer to another. Training is deliberate, logged and instructor-led at TDI Dive Centres and instructors.

Choosing a TDI course
Technical training builds in stages. You need the correct prerequisite cards, logged dives and often minimum hours on the exact unit before the next course unlocks. Do not book a trimix course hoping to skip nitrox and deco procedures; centres will check your logbook.
Gas, sorb, boat support and instructor ratios make tech courses expensive. Compare what is included and ask about bailout cylinder hire. Leave a comment when you book with your current certifications and unit if you are on a rebreather pathway.
