Podlasie and the Bug River are eastern Poland's quiet water-and-wetland belt — canoe touring, bird-rich meadows and rural cycling away from mountain crowds. Water levels and wind matter more than altitude; mosquitos are a summer constant. Base along the Bug for paddle days, or combine with Białowieża when forest walks are also on the list.
