North East Singapore is shorthand for Pulau Ubin and the nearby waterways — the last kampong-island feel in the city-state, reached by bumboat from Changi Point. Laterite bike tracks, Ketam Mountain Bike Park, mangrove paddles and Chek Jawa's intertidal flats make it the classic nature day trip. Bring cash for the boat and bike hire, check the tide if Chek Jawa is the goal, and ask at the jetty about the last return sailing before you ride to the far side of the island.
Ubin bikes, Chek Jawa and mangrove paddles
Hire a bike at the jetty for coastal lanes or commit to Ketam for graded mountain biking. Walk Chek Jawa Wetlands on the boardwalk at low tide, or join a guided kayak through mangrove creeks. Mainland Punggol and Seletar add shorter SUP and kayak options when you skip the ferry — all inside the northern nature region. Open the Book here tab for dates.
