It is the practical base for a wind-sports week: city hotels, ferry and train links toward Hel, and water centres that run when the breeze and sea state allow. Harbour and coast
Under the Baltic Coast, Gdańsk and the Tricity suit beginner harbour sailing and coastal introductions, with day trips to the Hel Peninsula when kitesurfing or windsurfing is the goal. Sopot and Gdynia add beach access without leaving the metro area.
Getting around
