The Cordillera Central is the spine of the main island: coffee farms, Toro Negro and cooler nights. Cerro de Punta is the high point. You come to hike and to sleep at altitude, not to squeeze a viewpoint in on the drive from Ponce to San Juan. Parent region: South Coast & Cordillera.
Mountain weather on a tropical island
Cloud sits on the ridges. Trails get slick. The temperature drop at night is the point, and also why a beach bag isn't enough. Jayuya and Adjuntas are the usual names in this belt. This is not a bio-bay region.

Open the Book here tab for guided walks. Inventory is thin. If a date exists, take it and build the coast around it, not the other way round.
