Hidden beneath the hills and carved through the limestone landscape, the Yorkshire Dales provides the perfect setting for a varied outdoor adventure. This full-day experience combines heights, exploration and adrenaline-filled challenges, giving you the chance to experience several of the region's most popular activities in a single day.
Beginning on the rock, the morning focuses on climbing and abseiling. After meeting your instructor and receiving a safety briefing, you'll head to a suitable climbing venue where you'll learn techniques for moving confidently on natural rock. Routes are selected to suit the group, allowing beginners and more experienced participants to enjoy the challenge.
Once you've completed the climbing session, it's time to experience the descent. Abseiling provides a completely different perspective as you lower yourself down the rock face under the supervision of your instructor. For many participants, this becomes one of the highlights of the day.
During the afternoon, you'll choose between two very different adventures. Canyoneering offers an energetic route involving jumps, swims, zip lines, waterfalls and natural obstacles, while caving takes you beneath the Yorkshire Dales to explore passages, chambers and underground formations. Your instructor will discuss the available options with you and help select a route that matches your confidence and sense of adventure.

Surrounded by limestone scenery, waterfalls and some of the most extensive cave systems in the UK, Ingleton is one of the best-known outdoor destinations in the Yorkshire Dales. The area provides easy access to climbing venues, underground systems and adventurous terrain, making it ideal for a multi-activity day.
Beyond the activity locations themselves, the wider landscape is filled with rolling countryside, dramatic escarpments and historic features shaped by thousands of years of natural processes. Whether above ground or below it, the region offers plenty to discover throughout the day.
Although the activities are physically active, no previous experience is required. Full instruction is provided throughout the day, and the level of challenge can be adjusted to suit the group.
Comfortable outdoor clothing, suitable footwear and a willingness to try something new are the most important things to bring.
Rather than focusing on a single activity, this adventure day allows participants to experience different sides of the Yorkshire Dales in one carefully planned itinerary. The combination of climbing, abseiling and a choice of afternoon adventure creates a varied and rewarding day outdoors.
Drawing on years of experience working across the region, Innes and the instructional team know the most suitable locations for different abilities and conditions. Their local knowledge helps create an experience that feels both challenging and accessible, regardless of previous outdoor experience.
