Waarom voor ons kiezen:
We're Lanzarote's first school dedicated exclusively to snorkelling. Unlike the island's scuba diving companies that offer snorkelling as an add-on, snorkelling is our entire focus — it's what we've built our expertise around. As the sister school of Beneath the Waves Freediving, every one of our guides is a trained freediving safety expert, bringing 20 years of combined experience in freediving, Snorkeling and scuba diving in Lanzarote's waters. With 2–3 staff on hand throughout your tour and buoyancy jackets available for anyone less confident in the water, your comfort and safety always come first. We guide you through Playa Chica — the #1 snorkelling spot on the island, sitting inside the Lanzarote Biosphere Reserve — with all equipment, insurance, and a free HD video included, so there's nothing left to think about except your new adventure in the crystal clear water.

Beneath the Waves freediving & snorkeling is a Lanzarote -based team dedicated to helping you explore the underwater world with confidence, curiosity, and calm — across both freediving and snorkelling. Led by experienced instructors Nico Decroix and Moya Lee, the team offers sessions for every level, whether you're taking your first breath-hold or working toward advanced certification.
For beginners, the Try Freediving introduction builds a strong foundation in the core skills — breathing, relaxation, equalisation, finning, and duck diving — in a safe, supportive setting. Those looking to progress further can join the AIDA-certified freediving courses (Levels 2, 3, and 4), covering everything from fundamental safety and technique through to advanced depth training and master-level skills, all under expert guidance.
For a more relaxed way to connect with the ocean, Reef Exploration and guided snorkelling sessions take you through Lanzarote's volcanic lava reefs and thriving marine life, including guided trips to Playa Chica — the island's #1 snorkelling spot, sitting within the Lanzarote Biosphere Reserve. Spearfishing experiences are also available for those seeking a more adventurous day on the water.
Whether you're here to learn, explore, or simply enjoy time in the sea, every session is built around safety, technique, and a genuine love of the ocean.
