Experience one of Mallorca’s most unique caves, featuring a sandy beach hidden inside dramatic formations. This 5-hour adventure combines a scenic hike with hands-on caving, offering the chance to explore unusual rock formations, rappel into a main chamber, and relax by the water. The session is suitable for those looking for an active and memorable outdoor experience.
The adventure begins at the designated meeting point, where participants will receive a backpack with all personal caving gear and space to store belongings. A guided hike of approximately 45 minutes will take you to the cave entrance, including a section without a marked trail, adding a touch of exploration and excitement.
At the cave, harnesses are fitted and participants are given a basic explanation of caving equipment to safely descend a small rappel into the main chamber. The route includes navigating through cave formations, gours, and minor obstacles while learning about the geological history and secrets of the cave. Guides ensure safety with secured ropes throughout the descent and exploration.
Once inside, you will have free time to swim on the hidden sandy beach and enjoy a full cave exploration.
The cave is located in a scenic area of Provensals, Mallorca, reached via a moderate hike along both marked and unmarked paths. The region is rich in limestone formations, offering varied terrain and natural beauty along the way. The final approach involves a short cliffside section to reach the cave entrance.
Mallorca provides a unique combination of coastal and mountainous scenery, making the hike itself a highlight. Participants can enjoy panoramic views and the natural surroundings before reaching the cave, with opportunities to spot local flora and fauna.
Participants should be comfortable walking over uneven terrain and able to manage a short rappel under guided supervision. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended for the 45-minute hike and cave exploration.
All necessary caving gear, including helmet, lighting, and personal progression equipment, is provided. Participants should bring sports shoes, appropriate clothing, a swimsuit if planning to swim, a towel, water, and snacks.
The guides behind this experience bring years of caving knowledge and a passion for Mallorca’s natural landscapes. Their approach combines safety with an engaging introduction to the cave’s unique features and history.
Founded by two experienced cavers who relocated from Barcelona to pursue their passion, the operation is built on hands-on expertise and a genuine love for exploration. Participants benefit from personalised guidance and an authentic caving adventure in one of Spain’s most remarkable locations.
Participants should wear sports shoes with good grip and comfortable, flexible clothing suitable for hiking and caving. Clothes that can get wet or dirty are recommended, as some areas of the cave may be damp.
It’s also important to bring a swimsuit if you plan to swim on the cave’s beach, along with a towel, sun protection, and a light jacket if the weather is cooler. Layers are ideal for adapting to changing conditions between the hike and the cave.
The hike lasts around 45 minutes and includes both marked and unmarked sections, requiring a moderate level of fitness. The path can be uneven in places, with some rocky terrain.
Participants should be comfortable walking over natural terrain and able to handle slight inclines. The hike is part of the adventure, providing scenic views and access to the remote cave location.
No prior caving experience is required. Guides provide a full safety briefing and demonstrate how to use the equipment for the rappel and cave exploration.
All activities are fully supervised, and participants are secured with ropes during descents and throughout the cave, ensuring safety while allowing everyone to enjoy the experience.
The rappel is short and designed for beginners, with guides providing step-by-step instructions. Each participant is connected to a secured rope, ensuring complete safety throughout the descent.
Harnesses, helmets, and lighting are provided, and guides remain with each participant to monitor and assist as needed. Safety is the priority without reducing the adventure element.
The session is suitable for most ages, but children must be accompanied by adults. Each child’s ability to complete the hike and handle basic caving challenges will be assessed on arrival.
Safety equipment is provided for all participants, and guides adjust support depending on age and comfort levels. The experience can be a memorable family adventure when guidelines are followed.
Three photos per group are included in the price. Guides take photos and short video clips during the activity to capture key moments and the unique cave environment.
If you wish to access all photos and videos (approximately 50), this can be purchased for an additional fee per person. Photos provide a lasting record of the adventure for personal memories or social media sharing.
