Join us for an exciting 2.5-hour guided bike tour through the heart of Barcelona, where the city's rich culture and culinary scene come together. This private tapas bike tour lets you sample authentic Catalan and Spanish tapas as you cycle through charming streets and hidden gems, guided by a local expert.
Throughout this guided bike tour, you’ll cycle through vibrant neighbourhoods, stopping at local tapas bars where you’ll sample a variety of delicious dishes such as patatas bravas, jamón ibérico, and pimientos de padrón. Along the way, your expert guide will share insights into Barcelona’s rich culinary and cultural history, providing a unique perspective on the city’s gastronomic treasures.
The tour also gives you the chance to taste cava, a sparkling wine crafted in the nearby Penedès region, at a family-run bodega. This tour focuses on providing an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience, taking you away from the typical tourist spots and into venues favoured by locals. You can even customise your experience by informing us of any dietary preferences or allergies when booking.
The tour explores the iconic and eclectic streets of central Barcelona, taking you through neighbourhoods such as the Gothic Quarter, El Raval, and El Born. These areas are known for their mix of historic landmarks, narrow alleys, and lively squares.
The Gothic Quarter, with its medieval architecture, offers a glimpse into the city's past, while El Raval is full of vibrant energy, hosting a variety of cultural influences. As you ride through these areas, you'll not only discover hidden tapas bars but also pass by some of Barcelona’s most famous sights, including Plaça Catalunya and the famous La Rambla.
The tour is designed for cyclists of all levels, so no prior cycling experience is required. It’s perfect for those who enjoy leisurely bike rides, as the pace is relaxed and stops are made frequently to taste tapas and explore.
Participants should be in general good health and able to ride a bike for up to 2.5 hours. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes to ensure a pleasant experience.
The tour is led by passionate, local guides who are eager to share their love for Barcelona’s culture and cuisine. With safety as a top priority, our expert guides ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Whether you are cycling solo, with a group, or as a family, this tour offers a fun and sustainable way to explore Barcelona’s culinary scene. For a more personalised adventure, we also offer private tours tailored to your preferences, ensuring an unforgettable experience in this vibrant city.
Comfort is key when cycling. It’s best to wear clothes suited to the day’s weather and that allow you to move freely. If it’s chilly, bring layers—your body will warm up once you’ve been riding for a few minutes, and it’s helpful to be able to remove a layer if needed.
Avoid clothing that’s too tight or restrictive, especially for longer rides.
