Experience Menorca’s underwater world with a private diving guide, ideal for certified divers seeking a flexible, personalised dive. This service is perfect for underwater photographers or anyone who wants to explore the island’s marine reserves without the restrictions of larger groups. All dives occur within protected Natura 2000 areas, highlighting recovering ecosystems and abundant marine life.
Your dive begins at the chosen dive centre, where you’ll meet your guide for a full briefing on the planned dive route, safety procedures, and the marine environment. Equipment and weights are provided if selected, and you’ll have time to discuss underwater photography techniques, preferred dive spots, or specific points of interest.
Once in the water, the dive is entirely private. You’ll explore reefs, wrecks, caves, and Posidonia meadows at a pace that suits you. Photographers can take as much time as needed to capture images without being constrained by a larger group. Popular highlights include the Junker 88 wreck, the Malakoff merchant ship, and the Santa Clara fishing boat. After the dive, enjoy a picnic with local products and cold drinks while discussing the day’s observations. Optional extras, such as organic sunscreens, waist bags for collecting plastics, and an illustrated guide to the Mediterranean Sea, allow for a sustainable and educational experience.
Dives are conducted across Menorca’s two marine reserves and protected Natura 2000 areas, chosen for their clear waters, biodiversity, and safe conditions for small private groups. Sites include diverse habitats such as reefs, seagrass meadows, and underwater wrecks, offering a rich underwater experience tailored to your interests.
Dive centres used are fully professional and experienced in private guided dives, providing secure boarding, easy access to dive sites, and full support for small groups. Their local knowledge ensures the best routes and conditions are selected for every dive, enhancing both safety and enjoyment.
All participants must hold a valid scuba diving certification. Divers focusing on photography are recommended to have prior experience, but all certified divers can participate.
Divers should be physically fit and capable of completing the planned dives. Personal diving insurance is required if not purchased on-site, and safety briefings are provided at the dive centre. Dive equipment can be selected during booking if required.
The guide is a Menorcan native with decades of diving experience and in-depth knowledge of the island’s underwater ecosystems. Passionate about marine conservation, he provides detailed insights into Posidonia meadows, wrecks, caves, and local species, combining enjoyment with education.
Maintaining small, private groups ensures each diver has freedom to explore, take photos, and set their own pace. Safety and environmental stewardship are prioritised throughout, with the guide tailoring each dive to the group’s interests while highlighting Menorca’s rich underwater biodiversity.
This activity is exclusively for certified divers. You must hold a recognised scuba certification to participate safely.
