Relax aboard a beautifully maintained classic sailing yacht, sip sparkling wine and watch the changing light transform the cliffs, sea caves and open ocean as day turns to evening.
Your experience begins at Marina de Portimão, where you'll step aboard a classic sailing yacht and be welcomed by your skipper before setting sail along one of the Algarve's most beautiful stretches of coastline. Leaving the marina behind, you'll cruise towards João d'Arens, an area renowned for its dramatic golden cliffs, secluded coves and crystal-clear waters.
Upon arrival, there will be time to relax and soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful coastal setting. If conditions allow, you may enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear Atlantic waters while surrounded by striking rock formations and hidden corners of the coastline that are difficult to access by land. Throughout the experience, sparkling wine is served, adding an extra touch of celebration to the evening.
As the sun begins to lower towards the horizon, the coastline takes on warm shades of gold, orange and pink. Whenever weather and sea conditions permit, the return journey is completed under sail, creating a quiet and authentic sailing experience powered only by the wind. The gentle movement of the yacht, the sound of the sea and the changing colours of the sky combine to create a memorable end to your time on the water before returning to Portimão.

Its sheltered marina provides an excellent starting point for sailing adventures along the coast.
The cruise visits the area around João d'Arens, a quieter section of coastline known for its rugged rock formations and picturesque bays. Away from the busier beaches, this stretch of coast offers a more peaceful setting where guests can appreciate the natural beauty of the Algarve from the water while enjoying uninterrupted views of the sunset.

In suitable weather and sea conditions, the yacht will stop near João d'Arens where guests can enjoy a swim in the clear waters. This stop allows you to cool off, enjoy the surroundings and experience a quieter part of the coastline away from busy beaches.
Safety always comes first, so swimming opportunities are dependent on conditions on the day. The skipper will assess the sea state and choose the safest and most enjoyable location for any swimming stop.
It is recommended that you bring a towel if you intend to swim, along with suitable swimwear underneath your clothing. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat are also useful, particularly during the warmer months when the Algarve enjoys long sunny evenings.
Even during summer, temperatures can feel cooler once the sun begins to set and the yacht is moving. Bringing a light jacket or jumper is often a good idea, especially during spring and autumn departures.
The safety of guests is always the highest priority. If weather or sea conditions are considered unsuitable for sailing, the trip may need to be rescheduled or cancelled. This decision is made by the skipper based on local forecasts and conditions at sea.
The Algarve generally enjoys excellent weather throughout much of the year, but conditions can occasionally change. If any adjustments are necessary, you will be contacted as early as possible with the available options.
Whenever weather and sea conditions allow, the return journey is completed under sail. This creates a more traditional sailing experience and allows guests to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that comes from travelling with only the wind powering the yacht.
