Cruise along the famous Estérel coastline and discover a side of the French Riviera that many visitors never see. Combining a scenic boat trip with guided snorkelling, this experience takes you to clear waters, hidden coves, and some of the region’s most recognisable coastal landmarks.
Leaving the port of Agay, you'll board a semi-rigid boat and head towards the striking coastline of the Estérel. As you travel along the shore, you'll pass red volcanic cliffs, secluded bays, and clear turquoise waters that make this part of the Riviera so distinctive. The boat journey itself is a highlight, offering fantastic views of the coastline and access to areas that are difficult to reach from land.
Once you arrive at the snorkelling site, you'll receive a safety briefing before entering the water with your instructor. With mask, snorkel, and fins provided, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Mediterranean seabed while staying close to an experienced guide. The clear conditions often make it easy to spot fish, sea urchins, starfish, and the Posidonia seagrass meadows that support much of the area's marine life.
During the trip, you'll also enjoy views of Cap Dramont and the famous Île d’Or. With numbers limited to a small group, there's plenty of space to relax, ask questions, and enjoy the experience at your own pace. Whether you're trying snorkelling for the first time or simply want to spend time on the water, this is a great way to experience the natural side of the French Riviera.
Located on the Estérel coastline, Agay is one of the best places to experience the contrast between the region's red volcanic cliffs and the blue waters of the Mediterranean. The area is known for its sheltered coves, coastal scenery, and rich marine environment, making it ideal for boat trips and snorkelling adventures.
Just offshore, you'll find iconic landmarks including Cap Dramont and Île d’Or, both famous for their distinctive appearance and beautiful surroundings. Away from the busier sections of the Riviera, this stretch of coast offers a more natural setting where you can enjoy both the scenery above the water and the wildlife below it.
You should be comfortable swimming or floating in open water, although no previous snorkelling experience is required. Beginners are very welcome, and your guide will explain everything before you enter the sea.
Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the excursion. A positive attitude and a sense of adventure are all you need to enjoy the experience.
Unlike many snorkelling trips, your guide joins you in the water, helping you spot marine life and making sure you get the most from the experience. The small-group format creates a relaxed atmosphere and allows for a more personal experience from start to finish.
Safety and enjoyment go hand in hand, with quality equipment, professional guidance, and carefully selected snorkelling locations. It's a fantastic way to combine sightseeing, wildlife spotting, and time in the sea during a single outing.
Not at all. This trip is designed for complete beginners as well as those who have snorkeled before. Before entering the water, your guide will explain how the equipment works and what to expect during the session.
Because the guide stays with the group in the water, you'll have support throughout the experience. Many guests try snorkeling for the first time on this tour and quickly feel comfortable once they're in the sea.
The pace is relaxed, and there is no need to swim long distances. Most of the experience involves floating, gently swimming, and looking down at the marine life beneath you.
As long as you're comfortable being in the water, you'll be able to enjoy the activity. The guide keeps the group together and chooses suitable areas based on conditions.
The waters around the Estérel are home to a variety of Mediterranean species. Depending on the day, you may spot seabream, damselfish, sea urchins, starfish, and octopus among the rocks and seagrass.
Every trip is different, which is part of the fun. The area's protected waters provide some excellent opportunities to observe marine life in its natural habitat.
Yes, the excursion is suitable for families and children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. The boat ride is an enjoyable part of the experience, with plenty of coastal scenery to enjoy along the way.
Many families choose this trip because it combines sightseeing and snorkelling in a format that's easy to enjoy together.
The coastline is famous for its striking red volcanic rock formations that contrast beautifully with the blue Mediterranean Sea. It's one of the most recognisable landscapes on the French Riviera.
The area is also known for its clear waters and protected marine habitats, making it a fantastic location for snorkelling and exploring beneath the surface.
Yes. Rather than remaining on the boat, the instructor joins the group in the water throughout the snorkeling session.
This allows them to point out marine life, answer questions, and provide assistance whenever needed, creating a more engaging experience for everyone.
You'll need a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and some drinking water. A light jacket can also be useful for the boat journey if the weather is cooler.
Everything needed for snorkelling is provided, so there's no need to bring your own equipment unless you prefer to use it.
