Watch the Estérel coastline transform as the evening light settles over the Mediterranean on this relaxed sunset boat tour. Combining guided snorkelling, coastal scenery, and a soft aperitif on board, it's a fantastic way to end the day on the French Riviera.
Setting off from Agay in the late afternoon, you'll cruise along the Estérel coastline as the busy daytime atmosphere begins to fade. The red volcanic cliffs, hidden coves, and calm Mediterranean waters create a completely different atmosphere at this time of day, making the journey just as enjoyable as the snorkelling itself.
Before entering the water, your guide will provide a safety briefing and help you get ready with your snorkelling equipment. Accompanied by a certified instructor, you'll explore the coastline beneath the surface while the softer evening light creates a unique underwater environment. The calm conditions often found later in the day provide excellent opportunities to observe fish, seagrass meadows, and other marine life that inhabit these protected waters.
Following the snorkelling session, you'll return to the boat and settle in for one of the highlights of the experience. As the sun drops towards the horizon, you'll enjoy a soft aperitif while taking in the changing colours of the sea and coastline. With small group sizes and a relaxed pace throughout, this tour offers a wonderful mix of exploration, scenery, and time to simply enjoy being out on the water.
Stretching between Agay and the wider Estérel coastline, this area is famous for its distinctive red volcanic landscapes and crystal-clear Mediterranean waters. From the sea, you'll enjoy a completely different perspective of the coastline, revealing hidden coves, rocky headlands, and areas that are inaccessible by road.
Away from the crowds found in some of the Riviera's larger resorts, the Estérel offers a more natural setting where sea, cliffs, and forested hills combine to create one of the region's most recognisable landscapes. Sunset adds an extra dimension to the scenery, with warm evening colours reflecting across both the water and the surrounding coastline.
You should be comfortable swimming or floating in open water, although no previous snorkelling experience is necessary. Full guidance is provided, making the activity suitable for both beginners and experienced snorkelers.
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. The relaxed pace of the tour makes it an excellent choice for families, couples, and anyone looking to enjoy an evening on the water.
Offering far more than a standard boat trip, this experience combines guided snorkelling with one of the most beautiful times of day to be on the Mediterranean. Certified instructors accompany guests in the water, helping you discover marine life while ensuring everyone feels comfortable and safe.
Limited group sizes create a friendly atmosphere and allow plenty of space to relax throughout the evening. The addition of a sunset aperitif makes this a memorable experience for anyone wanting to enjoy the coastline from a different perspective.
The biggest difference is the atmosphere. As the day draws to a close, the coastline becomes quieter, the light becomes softer, and the colours of the sea and cliffs change dramatically.
The combination of snorkelling, sunset views, and a relaxing aperitif on board creates a more laid-back experience that feels very different from a daytime excursion.
No. The tour is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced snorkelers. Before entering the water, you'll receive a full briefing and guidance from your instructor.
Your guide remains with the group throughout the snorkelling session, helping you feel comfortable and making it easier to spot marine life beneath the surface.
The area is home to a variety of Mediterranean species including seabream, damselfish, wrasse, sea urchins, starfish, and octopus. The clear waters of the Estérel provide excellent opportunities for observation.
Wildlife sightings vary from day to day, but the guide will help point out anything of interest and explain more about the local ecosystem.
A soft aperitif is provided on board after the snorkelling session. It's a chance to relax, enjoy a refreshment, and take in the sunset from the water.
Alcoholic drinks are not included, allowing the experience to remain family-friendly and suitable for guests of all ages.
Absolutely. The combination of a sunset boat trip, snorkeling, and relaxed atmosphere makes it particularly popular with couples looking for something different during their stay.
Watching the sun set over the Mediterranean from the boat creates a memorable setting that's difficult to experience from the shore.
Yes. Your certified instructor enters the water with the group and remains nearby throughout the snorkeling session.
This not only improves safety but also allows the guide to help you discover marine life and interesting underwater features you may otherwise overlook.
You'll need a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and drinking water. A light jacket is also recommended, especially later in the season when evenings can become cooler on the water.
All snorkelling equipment is provided, so there's no need to bring your own unless you prefer using personal gear.
