Peguera, Cala Monjo, Mallorca, Spain
Toni was a great guide! It was an excellent day out and a great experience. The canyoning includes 1 hour hike in, 2.5 hour canyon and 1.5 hour hike out. Be prepared for some walking! Also don't forget your car keys in the shuttle car like we did...
Our climbing instructor Domingo was excellent. Calm and assured, with emphasis on safety and ensuring we were climbing within our limits.
This coasteering session along the west coast of Mallorca takes you through Peguera, Cala Fornells, and Calvià, offering a mix of jumps, rappelling, zip-lining, and caves to explore. Suitable for all ages and abilities, the route features varied cliff heights and accessible terrain that makes it ideal for families, groups, or solo adventurers wanting to enjoy the Mediterranean coastline in a lively, hands-on way.
The session begins with a safety briefing and equipment fitting, including helmet, wetsuit, and harness. Once ready, you’ll follow the coastline’s varied terrain—climbing over low, medium, and high cliffs, jumping into the sea from different heights, and navigating natural caves. The guides will show you the best spots for zip-lining sections and rappelling down short cliff faces into the water, adding an extra element of excitement.
The route is designed to balance thrills with safety and accessibility, so everyone in the group can take part at their own comfort level. There’s time for snorkelling in crystal-clear water and brief rests between activities to take in the views or capture photos. Whether you’re a first-timer or have some coasteering experience, this outing offers a fun and engaging way to connect with Mallorca’s rugged coastline.
Peguera sits on the southwestern coast of Mallorca within the municipality of Calvià. This area is known for its rocky coves, calm waters, and diverse marine life, making it a prime spot for coasteering adventures. The coastline combines rocky cliffs and sandy beaches, providing natural playgrounds for the jumps, rappels, and zip lines included in the route.
The starting point is easy to reach from nearby towns and resorts, with parking and amenities close by. This accessibility means the area can host families and groups of all ages and sizes, while still offering a sense of remoteness once on the coast itself.
Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable in open water, as swimming and climbing are involved. No prior experience is necessary because the activity is guided and tailored to suit different skill levels.
Children from around age 5 or 6 can join with adult supervision, and the guides adapt the route and challenges to the group’s abilities. Basic swimming skills and willingness to engage with the sea and rocks are essential.
The guides bring years of experience in coastal adventure sports and have in-depth local knowledge of the Peguera coastline. Their focus is on creating a safe, fun environment where participants feel supported while trying new challenges. They prioritise small groups to ensure personalised attention and clear communication throughout the session.
The company’s approach balances excitement with care, making this an excellent choice for families, groups, and individuals who want to enjoy a dynamic day out in Mallorca’s natural surroundings without compromising on safety or enjoyment.
Coasteering combines swimming, climbing, scrambling, jumping, and rappelling along the rugged coastline. On this route, you’ll explore cliffs of varying heights, use zip lines, enter natural sea caves, and jump into the Mediterranean at safe points chosen by the guides. Each section challenges your balance, coordination, and courage in a controlled environment.
The activity is continuous and paced by the group’s ability, with plenty of breaks for snorkelling, resting, or photography. The mix of natural terrain and water makes it a full-body experience, perfect for those looking for an active day outdoors.
Yes, the route is designed with accessibility in mind, making it ideal for families and newcomers. Children from around 5 or 6 years old can participate with adult supervision. The jumps start low and increase in height, but all obstacles are optional, so each participant can progress at their own comfort level.
The guides tailor the experience based on group ability and age, offering alternatives for less confident members. Safety is a priority, with all equipment provided and close supervision throughout the session.
A moderate level of fitness is required as you will be swimming, climbing over rocks, and jumping into the sea. The session lasts around three hours, so endurance and basic strength help to fully enjoy the activity. The route includes varied terrain that demands some agility and balance.
However, no advanced skills are needed, and the guides adjust the route and pace according to the group’s abilities. Anyone comfortable in open water and able to move confidently on rocky surfaces can join.
The guides provide all essential safety gear including wetsuit, helmet, harness, and other technical equipment like ropes for rappelling and zip lines. This kit ensures protection and comfort in the water and on the rocks. First aid supplies are also on hand.
Participants should bring water shoes for grip and wet conditions, swimwear, a towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, and snacks or lunch for energy. A waterproof camera and sun protection accessories like a cap and sunglasses are also recommended.
Absolutely. All jumps, rappels, and zip lines are optional, and guides provide alternative routes when needed. The focus is on safety and enjoyment, so no one is pressured to complete any challenge they don’t want to try.
You can enjoy the coastal walk, swimming, or snorkelling sections without participating in the more daring parts. The guides will support and encourage you at every step, making sure you feel confident throughout.
Safety is the top priority on every session. All participants receive a thorough briefing, and guides are trained in rescue, first aid, and risk management. Equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to high standards.
Children participate with close adult supervision and experienced guides who adapt the activity to group needs. The route is chosen to minimise risk while still offering adventure, and every activity is optional, allowing participants to take part at their own pace.
