Itinerary
Pre-Course Assessment
Before you begin, you'll complete a personalised form designed by professional therapists to evaluate your climbing habits, emotional responses, training routine, and general health. This helps the instructors adapt the content to your experience and goals.
Day 1: Emotional Workshops and Rope Confidence (6–7 hours)
The first part of the day is a two-hour group session covering training, nutrition, rest, and emotional well-being. These topics are presented with an emphasis on their impact on climbing performance and confidence. Ground-based workshops follow, focusing on building trust within the group or rope team and understanding belayer/climber roles.
In the afternoon, you’ll begin vertical practice using top-rope systems. This stage introduces the sensation of falling in a safe, controlled way, helping you start to lose fear and build trust in your gear and partner. Practical exercises reinforce confidence, rope handling, and team communication.
Day 2: Falling Practice and Dynamic Belaying (8–9 hours)
The second day takes place fully on the wall, with a strong focus on hands-on fall training. You'll start with route setup and begin working through progressively longer, controlled falls. Instructors will help you understand the physical and psychological responses to falling and how to manage them.
You’ll also work extensively on dynamic belaying, learning how to catch a fall smoothly while protecting your partner. The session ends with partner-based challenges to test your trust and coordination, helping you finish the course with stronger skills and a new mindset towards lead climbing.
Location
Courses take place across some of Mallorca’s most suitable climbing sites for fall training and lead development. These include Ca’s Català, Cala Magraner, S’Estret de Valldemossa, Puig de Garrafa, and more—all chosen for their variety of terrain and suitability for controlled fall practice.
Approach walks range from 15 to 30 minutes and take you through scenic natural areas, offering a good warm-up before each session. The climbing locations feature slab and vertical faces with tufas, making them ideal for learning movement and rope dynamics on real rock.
Prerequisites
Participants must have prior experience with top-rope climbing and should ideally have completed the N1 and N2 climbing courses, or be able to belay confidently and climb at a beginner-intermediate level.
This course is not suitable for first-time climbers, as it assumes familiarity with climbing equipment and safety systems. A moderate to good level of physical and mental readiness is recommended.
