Take control of a buggy and explore deeper into the park on a private, guided off-road route designed for small groups. This exclusive one-hour ride focuses on varied terrain and flexible pacing, making it ideal for pairs who want more space, more control, and fewer interruptions.
Your session begins with a safety briefing covering buggy controls, braking, throttle use, and driving rules within the park. Helmets and safety equipment are provided, followed by time to familiarise yourself with the buggy before setting off. As this is an exclusive ride, the guide focuses only on your booking and adjusts the pace to suit your comfort level.
Once underway, the route follows a mix of wide off-road tracks and more uneven sections through forested areas and open volcanic ground. Expect changes in surface, gentle climbs, and sections that require steady control rather than speed. The buggy setup allows one person to drive while a second rides as a passenger, with opportunities to swap drivers where permitted.
Planned pauses are included at key viewpoints, including areas near waterfalls and the coloured earth formations. These stops allow time for photos and short explanations before continuing the loop back to the starting point, keeping the emphasis on driving time and terrain variety.
The ride takes place within a large nature park in the south of Mauritius, known for its volcanic landscapes, coloured earth formations, and managed off-road trail network. The park layout allows buggy routes to access quieter sections while still passing major natural landmarks.
Set inland from the coast, the location offers forest cover, river sections, and open viewpoints. Parking and basic visitor facilities are available on site, making access straightforward for self-drive visitors.
No previous buggy driving experience is required, but drivers must be comfortable operating a motorised vehicle on uneven terrain. A valid driving licence may be required for the driver, subject to local rules.
Closed-toe shoes are mandatory, and clothing should be suitable for dust and mud. Participants must be able to follow instructions and remain attentive throughout the ride.
This exclusive format gives you a private buggy and a dedicated guide, allowing for a smoother ride with flexible pacing and fewer stops. It’s a good option for couples or pairs who want a more focused off-road session.
Experienced guides lead every ride with a clear emphasis on safety, route management, and access to the park’s key features. Entrance to the nature park is included, keeping the experience simple on arrival.
Exclusive means the buggy and guide are reserved for your booking only, rather than being part of a larger group.
This allows the ride to be paced around your comfort level and preferences.
