Day one sightseeing along Ha Long bay; kayaking through caves and lagoons; swimming at deserted beach; visiting a local fish farm and stay overnight on boat. Day two visit Viet Hai village by cycling 5km of jungle and rice field to be at the village(a remote village that separated from the mainland); returns to the water for a cruise through Lan Ha bay with cave kayaking, lunch on boat, swimming before returning to Cat Ba.
Lunch, dinner, breakfast on boat, English-speaking guide support, kayaking equipment and all entrance fees are included. We can arrange paid transfers from Hanoi in advance if you need help reaching Cat Ba.
Cat Ba Island sits within the Cat Ba Archipelago at the edge of Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay in northern Vietnam and Viet Hai Village lie inside Cat Ba National Park, where rainforest trails climb above karst valleys and isolated hamlets still farm rice in sheltered hollows.
Day two moves onto the water through Lan Ha Bay and into the southern reaches of Ha Long Bay, passing floating villages, sandy coves and limestone islets shaped by the tides. The meeting point in Cat Ba town is a short transfer from Beo Pier, where the speed boat departs for Viet Hai Port.
Cycling to Viet Hai is mostly flat along village roads, and an electric cart can replace the bike if you prefer. No prior kayaking experience is required for the cave paddling on day two.
This route blends active time on land with a quieter bay cruise, so you see both the national park forests and the limestone seascape in one booking. The overnight on boat inside the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve rather than returning to town each evening while the day-two boat visits less crowded parts of Ha Long Bay before returning to Cat Ba in the afternoon.
8.00 – 8.30: Meet at our office and drive to Beo Pier. For those who start from Ha Noi Old town, you will get picked up at 6am to reach Cat Ba at 8:30 to join the trip.
9.00 – 12.00: Get on a day boat to enjoy the magnificent quiet bay, passing by Cai Bèo floating fishing village in Lan Ha bay.
Keep cruising further to the southern of Ha Long bay for sightseeing, there are hundreds of sandy beaches you can see on the way, standing on the upper deck of the boat watching enormous limestone islands from distance with different shapes and sizes. 12:30 – 13:30: Savor a delicious set menu lunch on boat
14:00 – 17:00: Moving to visit a local fish farm where you will see a wide range of fishes and how they are feeded in the local way. Check in your fancy room on overnight cruise, take part in cooking class guided by our tour guide and licensed cook chef.
18.00 – 21: Enjoy sunset on sundeck then having fresh dinner in a local way cooked. Take your time in a peaceful atmosphere of the world heritage. Night squid fishing (Seasonal activities)
Take a walk around the village, meet some local people, see them do farming or enjoy with foot-fish massage activities at natural stream
11:30 – 12:30: Get back to the boat to have lunch then check out your cabin
13:00 - 15:00 Our boat cruises to different part of Lan Ha bay for sighseeing, swimming and kayaking through Tai Keo caves and some hidden lagoons before heading back to Beo pier. Disembark & Farewell
