Flow through gentle yoga poses on a stand-up paddleboard in Arguineguín, where calm Atlantic water and morning light make balance work feel playful rather than intimidating. Your instructor guides breathing, alignment, and simple sequences on wide boards so you can connect with the sea even if you are new to yoga or paddling.
After collecting your board and rash guard at Las Marañuelas, a short safety briefing and paddle take you to sheltered water where boards are steadied for the yoga portion. Poses stay accessible, with options to kneel or sit when standing feels too wobbly, and the pace leaves room to breathe and enjoy the surroundings.
A gentle cool-down on the beach wraps up the class, with GoPro photos when conditions allow. Arrive about 15 minutes early, bring swimwear and water, and share t-shirt size, health notes, and weight when you book so boards suit riders up to 120 kg.
Warm south-coast water off Arguineguín suits yoga on the board, with sheltered bays and straightforward access from Maspalomas and Puerto Rico. Practising here means open sky and sea views without a long drive from your hotel.
If the bay feels too exposed, your instructor may use a second meeting point on the same coastline that keeps the group in flatter water. The focus stays on calm practice rather than surfing conditions.
No yoga or paddleboarding experience is required, though comfort near the sea helps. Children from age eight can join when an adult is responsible for them on the water, and you can request a life jacket when you book.
Share injuries, pregnancy, or health concerns when you book so poses can be adapted, and mention weight over 120 kg so the right board is prepared. Glasses do not float, so consider contact lenses or a strap.
Your instructor is trained in SUP, yoga, and fitness with first-aid cover, so sessions feel supportive whether you are stiff from travel or already practise on land. Boards are chosen for stability during balance poses, and groups stay small enough for hands-on adjustments.
Kit, insurance, and optional buoyancy aids are included, letting you focus on breath and movement on the water. Many guests pair this session with a paddle lesson or coastal tour during the same holiday.
You meet on the sand at Las Marañuelas for kit fitting, leash safety, and a short paddle to calm water where the yoga portion begins. Your instructor checks how everyone feels on the board before starting breath work.
With boards steadied, you move through accessible poses linked to breath, with options to kneel or sit whenever balance needs a break. Coaching stays encouraging and adapted to beginners as well as regular yogis.
The session closes with a short relaxation on the board or beach, GoPro photos when safe, and a paddle back to shore to hand kit in. You leave with stretches you can repeat on land during your trip.
No. The class is designed as a taster, with wide boards and poses that can be done kneeling or sitting if standing feels too unstable. Your instructor explains each movement before you try it on the water.
If you already practise yoga on land, say so when you book so the flow can include slightly longer holds while the group stays comfortable.
Swimwear, a towel, and drinking water are all you need, plus reef-safe sunscreen applied before arrival. A rash guard is provided, and you can request a life jacket when you book.
Mention your t-shirt size in checkout questions so kit is ready, and bring a change of clothes for after the session.
Children from age eight are welcome when an adult stays responsible for them on the water. Younger participants often stay seated on the board for parts of the flow rather than attempting every standing pose.
Share ages when you book so the instructor can reserve the right board size, plan buoyancy aids, and keep the group pace comfortable for families on the water.
Sessions usually start at Playa de Las Marañuelas in Arguineguín, with the map pin in your confirmation. Arrive about 15 minutes early so kit handout and briefing can start on time.
If wind makes the main beach unsuitable, your instructor will direct you to the alternate launch nearby.
Safety comes first. If sea or wind conditions are unsafe before the session starts, you will be offered a new date or a full refund according to the published cancellation terms.
If conditions change after the activity has begun, the provider may continue with a voucher to rebook within one year rather than a cash refund, as set out in their conditions.
Yes. Board, paddle, leash, and rash guard are included, along with instructor time and insurance. Life jackets and waterproof bags are available on request when you book.
You do not need your own mat or board for this session on the sea, and the team prepares kit from your t-shirt size and weight answers at checkout.
Inflatable boards are rated up to 120 kg following manufacturer guidance. Tell us your weight in the booking questions so the correct board is reserved.
Wider yoga-style boards are often used for extra stability during balance poses, and the instructor can suggest kneeling options if you prefer more support on the water.
Many guests with mild limitations can still enjoy a gentle flow when poses are adapted. Share pregnancy stage, injuries, or health concerns when you book so the instructor can suggest alternatives on the water.
If you are unsure, message before booking and the team can advise whether a calmer time slot suits you better.
GoPro photos are taken when conditions allow, capturing your practice on the board against the Atlantic backdrop. They are included in the session price.
If cameras cannot be used safely because of spray or wind, your instructor will explain at the beach.
Up to twelve people can be booked, though many sessions run smaller so adjustments are easier. Private groups can be arranged if you contact the team with your dates.
A single person can still book and join an existing slot when available, and the instructor will keep the flow inclusive whether you arrive solo or with friends.

Arguineguín
You'll find calm Atlantic water and year-round sunshine on the south coast of Gran Canaria, where stand-up paddleboarding sits alongside yoga and fitness on the board. Sessions are built for beginners as much as regular paddlers: stable boards, clear briefings, and small groups so you can stand up, breathe, and enjoy the coastline without rushing.
Your instructor brings certified coaching in SUP, SUP yoga, and SUP fitness, with first-aid training and a focus on how you feel on the water as much as technique. Whether you want a first lesson, a guided tour, a yoga flow on the board, or a hire to explore at your own pace, the aim is the same: time on the sea that leaves you balanced, confident, and connected to the moment.
