Trying scuba for the first time is easy with this introduction, designed for those not yet ready to commit to a full certification. It offers a safe, guided experience in shallow waters where you can breathe underwater and get a feel for diving equipment.
An initial briefing introduces the scuba equipment including the mask, regulator, tank, and buoyancy control device, explaining their functions clearly to help you feel comfortable before entering the water.
Skills practice follows, where under close supervision you will learn how to breathe through the regulator, clear your mask, and manage buoyancy. The short dive allows you to explore the underwater environment while staying within a safe depth range.
The session is designed to be enjoyable and low-pressure, allowing you to experience the sensation of scuba diving. After completing the activity, information will be provided on how to enrol in the PADI Open Water Diver course if you wish to continue.

Mallorca, part of the Balearic Islands in the western Mediterranean, is renowned for its marine variety and accessible dive spots. Its gentle climate and sheltered bays make it an excellent place for beginners to start diving.
Participants should be at least 10 years old and in good health to join this introductory session. No prior diving experience is needed, though a basic comfort level in the water is important to fully enjoy the activities.
Parental or guardian written consent is mandatory for anyone under 18, ensuring all safety and legal requirements are understood before taking part.
Qualified PADI professionals deliver personalised instruction tailored for first-time divers, ensuring safety and confidence throughout the session.
The combination of a safe location and expert teaching creates an ideal setting to try scuba diving. This introduction serves as a perfect stepping stone toward further certification and underwater exploration.
Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory session designed for beginners who want to try scuba without enrolling in a full certification course. It offers a supervised, hands-on opportunity to breathe underwater and explore shallow waters using real scuba gear. This experience helps participants understand the basics of diving in a safe and controlled environment.
While it does not result in a PADI certification, the session provides insight into what scuba diving feels like and how equipment works. It’s an ideal starting point for those curious about diving before committing to a full course like the PADI Open Water Diver.
Anyone aged 10 and older can take part, provided they are in good health. There is no requirement for previous diving or swimming experience, though basic comfort in the water will help ensure a positive experience.
Participants must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian if under 18. This ensures all safety guidelines are understood and followed during the session.
Dives are conducted in shallow water, typically not exceeding 2 to 6 metres depending on conditions. This depth range keeps the environment safe and comfortable for first-time divers while allowing them to practise essential skills.
The controlled setting allows instructors to provide close supervision and immediate assistance, ensuring safety and confidence throughout the dive.
Participants use full scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), and air tank. All equipment is sized appropriately to fit comfortably and safely.
Before entering the water, instructors explain how each piece functions and how to use it correctly. This helps build familiarity and confidence in handling the gear underwater.
All sessions are led by qualified PADI instructors trained in working with beginners. A comprehensive safety briefing covers hand signals, emergency procedures, and how to use the equipment properly.
During the dive, the instructor remains close at all times, ready to assist or guide participants. The shallow depth and calm conditions further reduce any risks involved.
While Discover Scuba Diving itself does not confer certification, it acts as a stepping stone for those interested in becoming certified divers. After the session, participants receive information on progressing to the PADI Open Water Diver course.
This course is the standard beginner certification allowing independent diving under professional supervision and is available once age and health prerequisites are met.
