From the marina pontoon you'll ride a jet ski or a jet car for 30 or 60 minutes, following a guide along the coast toward Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah. First-time riders are welcome, and you choose the craft and the length when you pick your day rather than once you are on the water.
You'll check in on the marina pontoon, and we'll fit your life jacket and give you a short talk on the controls and the hand signals before you follow the guide off the dock. You already know whether you have the jet ski or the jet car and whether your water time is 30 or 60 minutes, because that was set when you booked. The first minutes are for getting used to the throttle in a marked line, so you are not weaving through yacht traffic on your own.
Please tell the guide on the pontoon if you want a calmer pace, and they'll keep you near the front rather than leave you bouncing at the back. The route stays along the open Dubai coastline, with the skyline behind you and views toward Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah. How far you go depends on the length you chose and how busy the water is that morning.
You'll return to the same pontoon with time to dry off and change before you leave the marina. You'll make your own way there and back, and we'll send the pontoon location beforehand so you know which side of the walkway to use.
Your ride starts from a watersports pontoon in Dubai Marina, where the towers line the inner walkways but the route quickly opens onto the outer coast toward Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab. You follow the guide along the open water in a marked line, not weaving through the narrow yacht basins on your own.
You'll make your own way to the marina. We send the pontoon location beforehand so you know which side of the walkway to use and where to check in. Taxis and the tram serve the area; there is no hotel pickup on this day, so plan your return after you dry off on the dock.
You don't need any riding experience. You should be comfortable on a small moving craft and able to follow the brief in English. The marina team can still stop a rider who cannot handle the craft after the first minutes.
Please tell us the ages if anyone in the group is young, so we can confirm they are allowed on the water that day. An adult should stay on the pontoon with younger guests.
Marina rides run with a guide on the water from the first minute, with life jackets fitted on the pontoon and a marked line along the coast. Craft and duration are set when you book, so check-in is quick and you are not re-negotiating on the dock.
We send the pontoon detail early because the visit is short. Our team knows which mornings are busy on the water and how much time to allow for taxi drop-off and the walk to the desk.
Please meet us at the Dubai Marina watersports base. The exact pontoon is sent to you beforehand. There is no hotel pickup. Do not travel to the Sharjah office.
You'll meet at the Dubai Marina watersports base. The exact pontoon is sent to you beforehand, so you know which side of the marina to walk to.
There's no hotel pickup. Allow time for taxi drop-off and a short walk to the desk, because late arrival can shorten the time you have on the water.
Two craft are offered: a jet ski and a jet car, each in a 30-minute or 60-minute ride. We tell you beforehand which hull and which length you have.
The visit lasts up to about an hour at the marina, including the brief. The clock on the water is the 30 or 60 minutes you chose, not a full hour of riding on every day.
Please tell us the ages if anyone in the group is young. The marina team will still check that each rider can handle the craft after the brief.
Please don't assume a child can ride alone. An adult should stay on the pontoon with younger guests, and the team can refuse a rider who cannot handle the craft after the first minutes.
Hotel collection is not part of this day. You'll make your own way to the marina and back after you finish.
We'll send the pontoon or dock detail before your visit. Public transport and taxis serve the area.
You'll get a briefing on the craft, the route, and the hand signals before you leave the pontoon. Guides stay with the group on the water.
The jet ski and jet car are described as easy to handle, including for first-time riders. Follow the brief, stay in the marked line, and tell the guide if you want a calmer pace.
The ride needs reasonably calm water and clear enough visibility along the coast. Strong wind or a closed marina can delay or stop a departure.
If the water is closed, we will contact you with the next step. That call sits with the marina team on the day.
Please wear a swimsuit you can get wet in, and bring a towel plus a dry change of clothes. The marina has somewhere to leave a small bag.
We'd suggest leaving loose jewellery on the dock. You'll be given a life jacket. Secure any phone in a waterproof case if you want it on the water.
The route runs along the Dubai coastline from the marina. You can expect views towards Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah, with the city skyline behind you.
The exact line depends on traffic on the water and the length you chose. Stay with the guide and do not peel off toward the beach on your own.
You should be comfortable on a small, moving craft and able to follow simple instructions in English. This is not a swimming lesson, but you will be on the water in a life jacket.
Please tell the guide on the pontoon if you want a steadier pace. They would rather keep you near the front than leave you bouncing at the back of the group.
Yes. Tell the guide on the pontoon if you want a steadier line. They would rather keep you near the front than leave you bouncing at the back of the group.
The first minutes are for getting used to the throttle. If the craft does not feel right after that, raise a hand and the guide will hold you.
