Steady wind, shallow-water conditions and spacious riding areas make Parajuru an excellent place to begin learning wingfoiling. This beginner course introduces the fundamentals of wing handling, board control and foil riding through structured coaching in small groups using premium equipment.
The course begins with theory sessions introducing the fundamentals of wingfoiling, including equipment setup, wind awareness, safety procedures and understanding how the wing generates propulsion. Instructors explain the interaction between the wing, board and rider while helping participants become familiar with the different riding positions and techniques used throughout the learning process.
Practical exercises start on the beach, where students learn how to control the wing safely before moving into the water. Early sessions focus on handling the wing while kneeling on a SUP-style board, allowing participants to build confidence without immediately dealing with foil lift. The lagoon’s shallow-water conditions provide a comfortable environment for practising balance, steering and water starts.
As riders progress, lessons move towards standing riding positions and longer controlled rides across the water. Depending on individual confidence and progression speed, some students may also begin learning the foundations of foil take-off techniques during the later stages of the course. Coaching remains focused on steady progression rather than rushing through exercises.
Located along Brazil’s northeastern coastline, the wingfoiling area combines a tidal lagoon with direct access to open-water conditions nearby. During higher tides, the lagoon offers calmer shallow-water sections that are particularly suitable for beginner wingfoil sessions and balance practice.
More experienced riders can later explore additional conditions around the river mouth and nearby sea areas. The combination of reliable wind and wide-open riding space creates excellent conditions for learning and progression throughout the season.
No previous wingfoiling experience is required for this course. Complete beginners are welcome, and the lessons are structured to introduce skills gradually through both theory and practical sessions.
Experience in watersports such as kitesurfing, surfing, sailing or paddleboarding may help some participants progress more quickly, although it is not necessary to take part.
Lessons are taught in small groups with a maximum of four participants per instructor, allowing students to receive regular feedback and support throughout each stage of the course. The progression-based teaching structure helps riders build confidence steadily while remaining focused on safe learning practices.
The centre’s position directly beside the lagoon also gives students quick access to suitable beginner conditions without needing long transfers. Premium wingfoil equipment and beach support are included to help sessions run smoothly from start to finish.
