



Three days riding through one of Wales’ quietest and most untouched regions gives you a mix of moorland, forest, deep valleys and high routes with big views. This moderate, steady-paced route begins gently, builds toward a high and rewarding middle day, and finishes with a long, satisfying descent. The terrain includes long climbs, occasional steep sections and persistent gravel stretches, but distances remain manageable for riders with good fitness.
Remote landscapes, peaceful lanes and a few memorable wild swimming spots give this trip a strong sense of escape. With overnight stays in welcoming B&Bs and plenty of opportunities for café stops, the journey blends challenge with comfort and the space to enjoy the simple rhythm of travelling through West Wales by bike.
This is a self-guided route, with detailed navigation, full kit provision and backup support on hand should you need it.
This loop from Llandovery takes in the Tywi Valley, Dinefwr Estate, Brechfa Forest, the Sarn Helen Roman road, the Teifi Valley, the Cambrian moors and the dramatic shoreline of Llyn Brianne. Expect remote, exposed sections with very few shops between towns, alongside stretches of tranquil lanes, forest gravel and long moorland views.

Meals are at your own expense, with many pubs and cafés along the route and recommendations provided. Breakfast is included with all B&B stays. Lunch can be picked up from cafés or eaten as a packed option. Dinner is always available within walking or cycling distance, and tables can be booked in advance where choices are limited.

You’ll carry all your kit, so prioritise light, packable items. A dry bag is provided and must hold everything for the trip.
