See Zanzibar’s coastline from above and below the water in this private transparent kayak experience. Paddle across the clear waters of Nungwi and Kendwa while marine life moves beneath you, all captured from the air by a professional drone. In just 45 minutes, you’ll combine light activity, coastal scenery and personalised footage to take home.
You’ll meet your guide at the beach and receive a short safety briefing before heading into the water. The transparent kayak allows you to see directly beneath your feet as you paddle, offering uninterrupted views of the seabed in shallow areas. The waters around Nungwi and Kendwa are known for their clarity, making this an ideal setting for this type of experience.
Once comfortable, you’ll paddle along a calm stretch of coastline while your guide positions a drone to capture aerial footage and photographs. The combination of turquoise water, white sand and the clear kayak creates striking overhead images. The guide ensures safe navigation and optimal positioning for the best shots.
The session is private, allowing you to move at your own pace. Whether you prefer relaxed paddling close to shore or slightly further out for wider views, the experience is adjusted to suit your comfort level. At the end of the session, you’ll return to shore with professionally captured content ready to share.
This experience takes place at Nungwi and Kendwa beaches in northern Zanzibar. These beaches are known for their white sand and relatively calm waters, particularly during certain tidal conditions. The area offers excellent water visibility, which makes it ideal for transparent kayaking.
Northern Zanzibar is easily accessible from most major hotel areas, and private transport is included. The region is also one of the most popular coastal zones on the island, with clear, shallow waters that provide safe and enjoyable paddling conditions for beginners.
No prior kayaking experience is required. The activity is suitable for beginners, and your guide will provide simple paddling instructions before departure. Participants should be comfortable in and around water and able to sit and paddle independently.
The experience is not suitable for infants seated on laps, and it is not recommended for those unable to manage independent seating in a kayak. Participants should follow safety guidance at all times during the session.
We are 100% locally owned and operated, with deep knowledge of Zanzibar’s coastline and tidal patterns. Our team carefully selects locations and timing to ensure optimal water clarity and safe paddling conditions. The experience is managed professionally from pickup to delivery of your drone footage.
We prioritise small, personalised experiences that allow you to enjoy the setting without crowds. With secure booking, private transport and responsive customer support, every detail is handled to ensure your time on the water runs smoothly.
