The day starts at 9am at the Wedder Leap Car Park in Barrowburn. From there, you'll venture on an 11-mile trek through Northumberland National Park, visiting three remote and beautiful waterfalls.
The hike is moderately demanding with some uphill sections that may be muddy, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. The pace is steady to accommodate all participants, with flexibility in the route based on the group's needs.
Throughout the day, you'll traverse diverse landscapes, from rugged trails to serene waterfall viewpoints. The walk provides a chance to enjoy both the physical challenge and the natural beauty of the park. The experience is tailored to offer a rewarding adventure regardless of individual fitness levels, ensuring everyone can appreciate the winter scenery.
Barrowburn, located within Northumberland National Park, serves as the starting point for this adventure. Renowned for its scenic landscapes and peaceful environment, this location is perfect for exploring remote natural features and enjoying the winter season’s charm.
Participants should have a moderate level of fitness and be comfortable hiking over uneven terrain. The route includes some uphill sections that may be muddy, so appropriate footwear and clothing are recommended.

Hayley, a Wild Swimming Walking Guide and Outdoor Therapist, offers a unique and personal touch to each adventure. Following a profound personal loss, Hayley found purpose and meaning through outdoor activities and is now dedicated to sharing this passion with others.
With extensive experience in hillwalking and cold-water swimming, and qualifications in open water safety, rescue, and outdoor first aid, she provides a safe and meaningful experience. Her goal is to ensure that every participant not only enjoys a physically rewarding adventure but also finds a deeper connection with nature and themselves.
A moderate level of fitness is recommended. The hike is 11 miles long with some uphill sections that may be muddy.
While the pace will be steady and the route can be adapted, a basic level of endurance will make the experience more enjoyable.
Children aged 10-17 can join if you book a private group. This can be booked via the adventuro chat below.
The hike will proceed in most weather conditions. However, if severe weather makes the route unsafe, the guide may reschedule or adjust the itinerary.

Parking is available at the Wedder Leap Car Park in Barrowburn. Please arrive at the meeting point by 9am.
