Join a riverside SUP Yoga or SUP Fit class on calm water in front of The Swan at Streatley. Build balance, strength and mindfulness with qualified instruction on stable boards in a peaceful Thames-side setting. All abilities are welcome.
Meet your instructor at the riverside setup area where boards are arranged on the calm water in the gardens. After a short safety briefing and buoyancy aid check, you step onto your board and settle into a relaxed position suited to the class format.
SUP Yoga flows through mindful poses adapted for the board, focusing on breath, balance and core stability while you listen to the river. SUP Fit is a more energetic full-body workout using paddling intervals and on-board exercises to raise your heart rate in a fun, low-impact way.
Sessions close with a cool-down on the water before you return to shore, recover your board and chat through stretches or techniques to try again. The pace suits newcomers and regulars alike, with options offered throughout.
Classes run on sheltered water in the grounds of The Swan at Streatley, in the heart of the Goring Gap on the River Thames. The setting is quiet and scenic, with tree-lined banks and open sky that make it easy to focus on breath and movement.
Streatley village is a short walk from the river with parking and refreshments nearby, so you can make a morning or evening of your visit. The calm inshore area is chosen specifically for fitness and yoga sessions away from main river traffic.
No prior yoga or paddleboarding experience is required, though basic comfort on a board helps you get the most from the session. You should be able to swim 25 metres and follow instructor guidance on the water.
Please tell your instructor about injuries or medical conditions before the class starts. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Under-8s may share a board with a parent or carer if agreed with staff on the day.
Combining paddleboarding with yoga or fitness on the Thames is a refreshing way to train balance and core strength while enjoying the outdoors. Instructors keep groups small enough for personal corrections and a calm, supportive atmosphere.
Boards and safety kit are included, so you can simply turn up in activewear and step into a unique riverside workout. Classes run through the season in a calm setting suited to mindful movement and fitness on the water.
SUP Yoga is a one-hour mindful class with yoga-inspired poses on the board, focusing on breath, balance and core stability. SUP Fit is also one hour but centres on paddling intervals and on-board exercises for a more active workout.
Both run on calm water in the grounds of The Swan at Streatley. Choose the session that matches your goals when you book.

SUP Fit is the more energetic option, with paddling intervals and on-board exercises designed to raise your heart rate. SUP Yoga is slower and more mindful, with a focus on breath, balance and controlled movement.
Both are one-hour classes on calm water. Your instructor offers modifications throughout so you can work at a level that feels right for you.
A basic level of mobility and comfort on an unstable surface helps, but classes welcome newcomers and regulars alike. SUP Yoga suits anyone who wants a gentle, mindful workout; SUP Fit suits those who enjoy a more active session.
Tell your instructor about injuries or limitations before you start so exercises and poses can be adapted on the day.
