Your day starts with pickup from lodging within 5km, or you can meet at Lion's Head parking roughly two hours before sunrise or sunset. After a short welcome and safety briefing, you follow the jeep track onto a single-track path, pause for early views, then contour around towards Table Mountain before the final ridge climb to the summit.
At the top there is time for snacks, tea or coffee and photos over the City Bowl, Atlantic coastline and Table Mountain. Descent is via ladders or a longer easier route, returning to the car park in about 45 to 60 minutes.
Lion's Head sits above Cape Town on the Atlantic Seaboard, with trailheads near Signal Hill and Lion's Head parking. From the summit you look across Table Mountain, the City Bowl, Waterfront, Camps Bay and the wider peninsula.
