A short boat from Portobelo lands you on Isla del Tesoro for snorkelling over coral and a kayak paddle on the Caribbean. You eat an included lunch by the sea, with hotel or cruise-terminal pickup from the capital or Colón.
Mask and snorkel are fitted at the dock, then a small boat runs about 15 minutes to Isla del Tesoro. The island sits in clear Caribbean water, with pale sand and a short landing, so you are in the sea soon after you leave the harbour.
A swim off the island comes first, then snorkel time over coral and small reef fish on a relatively shallow, clear site. Kayaks go in next, a paddle at your own pace, with a short brief for first-timers. The water block is about two hours all in, then lunch on the island and the boat back to the marina.
Isla del Tesoro sits off the Portobelo coast in Colón, with pale sand and clear water that suits a first snorkel. The boat from the dock is short.
Portobelo town and the national park are on the road in, so you see the harbour setting on the way. Panama City is about 1 hour 20 minutes behind you on a fair run.
Put your face in the water with a mask, and sit in a kayak on calm to moderate sea. No previous snorkel or kayak certificate is required. We fit the kit before you board the boat.
The day needs decent weather and may be rescheduled or cancelled if the sea is unsafe. Bring swimwear, water shoes if you have them, and a towel. Say if anyone in the group is a weak swimmer so we keep them in the shallows with a vest.
Mask, snorkel and kayak are included. Groups stay at ten, which matters when the guide is watching both snorkellers and paddlers. Hector has guided in Panama since 2015.
We collect hotels and cruise terminals, work in English, Spanish and French, and put lunch and bottled water in the price. Special diets are not available, which we tell you when you book.
Pickup from hotels in Panama City or Playa Bonita, or from cruise terminals in Panama City or Colón. The drive is about 1 hour 20 minutes, with a pass through Portobelo National Park before you reach the dock and the short boat to the island.
We fit snorkel kit that actually seals, then board a small boat for about 15 minutes to Isla del Tesoro. Keep the mask on your wrist or in the bag until you are in the water, and wear a vest if the skipper asks. The landing is pale sand and clear water, so the snorkel starts as soon as you are ready.
Swim off the island, then snorkel the coral and small fish on a relatively shallow site, then paddle kayaks on the Caribbean. The water block is about two hours. First-timers get a short paddle brief; stay where the guide can see you, put your face in the water over the reef, then switch to a kayak and explore the same coast from the surface.
Lunch is included on the island, with no special diets available. Eat, drink the bottled water we brought, and take a few minutes in the shade before you kit up for the boat back to the marina. If you cannot eat what is served, this is the moment to use whatever extra food you packed.
About 30 minutes by boat back to the marina, a swim in the small pool by the sea if you want it, then dry clothes and the road to your hotel or cruise terminal.
You should be happy with your face in the water and with floating in a vest if the guide asks you to wear one. The snorkel site is chosen for clear, relatively shallow reef. Weak swimmers should stay next to the guide and say so at kit-up.
Kayaking is sitting and paddling on the Caribbean. First-timers are normal. If you do not want to paddle, you can still snorkel and swim; tell us before the kayaks go in.
Yes. We fit a mask and snorkel before you board, and kayaks are part of the day. You do not need to bring your own unless you prefer a personal mask.
Water shoes help on the landing. Fins may be offered when they fit; do not count on a full dive-shop range of sizes.
It is a short boat ride, about 15 minutes, from the Portobelo side of the coast. You land, swim, snorkel and paddle from that island. The water is typically clear enough to see coral and small fish without a long swim.
A beach pause at Venas Azules can appear on some runs. Sea conditions decide the order.
Yes. We collect cruise terminals in Panama City and Colón as well as hotels in Panama City and Playa Bonita. Send the ship name and terminal when you book.
Be at the agreed point on time. If the ship is late alongside, message us; we cannot hold a boat indefinitely against a closed harbour.
This day needs decent weather. If the operator cannot run the boat and snorkel safely, you may be rescheduled or cancelled.
If we cannot move you to a new date, the Flexible terms and the 48-hour refund window still apply as published.
Yes. Lunch is included, with no special diets. If you cannot eat what is served, bring a supplement you are happy with, because there is no second kitchen on the island.
Bottled water is included on the transfer and at the table. Extra soft drinks, beer or snacks are your own, so pack them if you know you will want more than the set meal.
The water block is about two hours, covering a swim, the snorkel site and kayaking. The boat from the dock is about 15 minutes out and about 30 minutes back, with a pool rinse at the marina.
The rest of the eight hours is the road from Panama City or the cruise terminal.
Swimwear, towel, dry clothes, sun cream, a hat and water shoes if you own them. A rash vest helps if you burn easily, because you will be on the surface in strong light.
Leave heavy jewellery on the ship or in the hotel safe. A dry bag for phones is useful on the boat hops.
Maximum 10 guests. That is the cap for the boat, the snorkel watch and the kayaks. A minimum of one guest can still run the day as booked through the live calendar.
Your guide stays from pickup through the island time. The same person watches both snorkellers and paddlers, so you stay in one group on the water.
Cancel at least 48 hours before your date for a full refund, via your booking tools or customer care. Inside that window the Flexible policy applies.
If we cannot operate because of weather or force majeure and cannot move you, you receive a full refund. Keep the confirmation to hand.
