Combine island history with classic cave scenery on a shared speedboat loop from Vlorë. You reach Sazan Island for beach time or a walk to abandoned military ruins, then continue to Haxhi Ali Cave and peninsula beaches.
After boarding in Vlorë you cross the channel to Sazan Island, where you can relax on the beach or take an optional walk inland past old military sites and pines with views back toward the city skyline. A short hop brings you to Haxhi Ali Cave for photos, stories linked to the seafarer behind the name, and a swim at the mouth when swell allows. The afternoon anchors at Saint Vasil on Karaburun for a longer swim in deep blue water, and when footpaths are dry the route may include the quiet twin coves of St Koli Bay before you turn homeward. Five hours moves quickly between open-water runs and time in the sun, so this trip suits anyone who wants both an island detour and the classic cave coastline in one ticket.
Channel crossings can feel lively in wind, so the crew suggests seating and timing before the run to Sazan. Snacks and water are worth packing because meals are not served on board. If swell prevents a safe island landing, the skipper reshapes the day with extra cave and beach time rather than forcing a stop that is uncomfortable for the group.
Sazan sits in the channel opposite Vlorë, making it a natural first stop on this loop. From the island you look back at the city while standing on beaches that feel a world away from the promenade.
Haxhi Ali and the Karaburun beaches on this ticket are the same legendary coastline as shorter cave-only trips, but the island detour adds twentieth-century history among the pines and bunkers before you return to swimming and cave photos.
Guests aged six and older may join with an adult. The island walk is optional and crosses uneven ground, so wear sensible shoes if you plan to leave the beach.
Open-channel running can feel bumpy in wind. Mention seasickness concerns at boarding so the crew can suggest seating and timing for the Sazan crossing.
We schedule Sazan landings when channel traffic and swell allow safe beach time, rather than rushing a photo stop that leaves no room to explore.
Guides share context on the island's past without turning the day into a lecture, leaving plenty of minutes for swimming and cave photos.

Island walks and St Koli add-ons depend on conditions; your skipper explains the plan before leaving the harbour.
Children aged six and above may travel when with a responsible adult. The booking page minimum must be met on the day you sail.
Longer channel crossings can tire very young guests; consider the shorter half-day cave tour if nap times matter.
