Two seats and a helmet wait at the desert camp after an air-conditioned 4x4 collects you from a Dubai hotel. You drive a dune buggy for 45 to 60 minutes in a guided convoy, then sit down to refreshments and a snack box before the same transfer brings you back.
We'll collect you from your Dubai hotel and drive into the desert, then you'll step from the 4x4 into a two-seat buggy, shared or exclusive depending on what you booked. The marshal will brief you on the route and the line over the sand before the engines start, and you'll follow the convoy across the dunes rather than drive on public roads.
After the buggy loop you'll have time for sandboarding and a snack on site before we head back to the city. Shared and exclusive buggies are booked as shared or exclusive so the field team knows your group size, and if weather closes the base we'll reach out with the next step.
Your dune buggy experience runs on the same broad Dubai desert dunes used for other off-road mornings, with a base away from the inner city and a marked route over sand ridges. Shared and exclusive buggies use the same ground; you follow the marshal's line rather than a public road.
Pickup is from your Dubai hotel at the time we send you, with the same transfer after sandboarding and a snack on site. Plan for sand and sun on the drive out and back. Do not travel to the Sharjah office expecting a second desk there.
Drivers need to be at least 21 and able to show photo ID. No buggy experience is required. You should be comfortable on a small, moving craft and able to follow the marshal's signals.
Tell us about any back or wrist concerns before the day. A buggy ride over dunes is bumpy, even in a short convoy.
Buggy mornings follow a marshal over marked dunes, with Dubai collection, sandboarding time, and a snack stop before the return drive. Shared and exclusive buggies are set when you book so the right two-seater is waiting at the base.
We use the same desert ground as our other off-road mornings and keep briefings before engines start. Sun protection and closed shoes matter on the transfer and on the sand ridges.
We collect you from your Dubai hotel. Be in the lobby at the time we send you. The same transfer brings you back after the snack stop. Do not travel to the Sharjah office.
We collect you from your Dubai hotel. The lobby window is sent to you beforehand, because the drive to the desert camp takes time and the marshal briefing starts as a group.
Be downstairs on time. A late pickup can shorten the 45 to 60 minutes you get in the buggy.
Yes. Hotel transfers in Dubai are part of the outing. You travel out in an air-conditioned 4x4, then climb into the buggy at the camp. The same transfer brings you back after the snack box.
If you are staying outside the usual pickup area, tell us the hotel so we can confirm the collection still works.
The outing lasts about four hours from lobby to lobby. Time in the buggy is 45 to 60 minutes after the marshal brief. The rest is road and camp time.
You can have a buggy to yourself or share one. We tell you beforehand which one you have, so you know whether anyone else is sitting in the same craft.
Drivers need to be at least 21 years old. Bring photo ID that matches the name we have for you, because the camp checks ages before anyone takes a helmet.
The team can refuse a driver who cannot show they meet the age rule or who cannot handle the buggy after the first minutes of the brief.
The buggy is a two-seater. One person drives, and a passenger can sit beside them when the day allows it. Groups stay at a maximum of six.
You ride in a guided convoy, not as a loose pair on the dunes. The marshal sets the line and the pace.
No buggy experience is required. The marshal briefs you beside the craft, talks you through the throttle and the hand signals, then leads the convoy.
You should be comfortable on a moving machine. If you cannot handle the sand after the first minutes, tell the marshal. They would rather hold you than send you over a dune you cannot read.
Refreshments and a snack box are part of the outing. This is a picnic-style stop after you park the buggy, not a sit-down restaurant meal in the desert.
Eat a proper breakfast at the hotel before pickup if you want more than a snack. Bring a small bottle of water for the drive if you like to have your own.
We recommend wearing closed shoes, long trousers you do not mind getting sandy, and a light long-sleeve layer. Bring sun protection and a strap for your glasses.
We'd suggest leaving loose scarves in the transfer. The camp will give you a helmet and talk you through the buggy before you leave the hard standing.
The ride needs sand the marshal can read and weather the camp will accept. A sandstorm or a closed desert can delay or stop the convoy.
If the camp cannot run the buggies, we will contact you with the next step. That call sits with the marshal on the day.
Raise a hand during the convoy and the marshal will adjust the pace. You stay in the line rather than peeling off on your own, so the group can still see you.
If you cannot handle the sand after the first minutes, tell them on the hard standing. They would rather you sit a run out than send you over a dune you cannot read.
