Paddle through sea caves, along towering cliff faces and past quiet coves on this guided sea kayaking session in Cornwall. With two launch spots to choose from—Mullion Cove or Cadgwith—this experience offers a unique look at one of the UK’s most scenic stretches of coastline. Tours are open to all abilities, and the chosen location will depend on sea and weather conditions to give you the safest and most enjoyable day on the water.
Your session begins with meeting your guide at one of our coastal launch points on the Lizard Peninsula. After getting kitted out with a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet, and paddle, you’ll receive a short briefing and some on-land coaching before heading out onto the water. The tour begins in calm, sheltered areas to give everyone time to adjust and gain confidence before heading further along the coast.
Once on the water, you’ll explore a range of natural features including sea caves, rock arches, gullies, and headlands, often only accessible by kayak. Routes vary depending on tides, sea state, and group ability, but all offer impressive views and a chance to learn more about the area’s marine life and geology from your guide. It’s common to see grey seals and a variety of seabirds, and you’ll get plenty of photo opportunities—with a free photo package included in every booking. Tours are paced to suit the group, with plenty of time to pause, float, and take in the surroundings.
Sessions run from Mullion Cove or Cadgwith, two small coastal villages on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Both offer access to incredible sea kayaking routes, with natural features like caves, cliffs, reefs and hidden beaches. The location for each session is selected based on the sea conditions that day to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for all. Though each location is different, both give access to beautiful stretches of coastline that are rarely seen from land.
Both sites have nearby parking and are a short walk from the water’s edge, making them easy to access and ideal for families, couples or solo paddlers.
You don’t need any kayaking experience to take part. These sessions are beginner-friendly and designed to suit a wide range of ages and abilities. You should be confident in the water and able to swim short distances in a buoyancy aid.
Children aged 10 and over are welcome, but any child under 12 must share a double kayak with an adult.
With over 20 years of experience and a coaching team led by some of the UK’s top surf and paddle experts, this centre brings a high level of professionalism and passion to every session. Safety is always a priority, but the focus is equally on making your time in the water enjoyable, rewarding, and full of great memories.
The team offers personalised attention, whether you're brand new to kayaking or looking to explore somewhere different. Every tour is shaped by local knowledge, weather awareness, and a genuine love for the Cornish coast.
No previous experience is needed. These sessions are designed to be beginner-friendly, with the guide starting each tour with an introduction to basic paddling techniques and safety tips.
You'll begin in a sheltered area where you can get comfortable on the water before heading out to explore the coast. The pace is always adjusted to suit the group.
Both locations offer great sea kayaking routes with plenty to explore. Mullion Cove gives access to dramatic cliff formations, open sea views and small islands, while Cadgwith is known for its caves, narrow gullies, and scenic fishing village backdrop.
Whichever location you launch from, the route will be selected to match the group’s ability and the sea conditions on the day.
While you’re welcome to let us know if you have a preference, the location is ultimately chosen the day before your session based on safety, tides and weather.
This ensures the best possible conditions for the group and helps us avoid cancellations due to unsuitable sea states.
Sessions last between 2.5 and 3 hours, which includes getting kitted up, a safety briefing, and basic instruction at the start. Actual paddling time is around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on conditions, group ability and the chosen route.
There’s plenty of time to explore, pause for photos, and enjoy the surroundings.
On arrival you will be equipped with a warm full length wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet. Your safety is our number 1 priority.
The tour will be run at your pace and match your confidence.
You’ll need a swimsuit or something to wear under a wetsuit, a towel, and suitable footwear—ideally old trainers or water shoes. Sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and something warm to wear afterwards are also recommended.
All technical kit is provided, including your kayak, paddle, helmet, buoyancy aid, and wetsuit.
Children aged 10 and above can join, but those under 12 must be in a double kayak with a parent or guardian.
We’re licensed to run sessions for under-18s without an adult present, but for younger participants, sharing a kayak with an adult ensures a safer and more enjoyable experience.

Coasterring with Lizard adventure. Great day out. Rory was great with us. Got some sea snacks along the way. Great jumps for all levels. Saw the seals. All in all a great day out
I was impressed that Steve contacted me to ask if my adolescents would like a more adventurous experience and tailored the coasteering to them. They all had a great time - came back exhilarated and exhausted. Thanks also for taking some great photos
We had a fab time with Steve guiding us. A wide range of abilities and Steve enabled us all to meet our challenges and succeed. Highly recommend this as an amazing activity. Thumbs up for Steve. Thank you.
Five stars great fun and engaging and entertaining hosting!
Absolutely fabulous. Chris(?) the instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful but also definitely a ‘people person’. It was my first ever time and I loved every second of it. Will definitely do again. But wanting to make this a frequent thing for me. Sad to think it may not be…
Adam was a very knowledgeable and seemingly very experienced guide on our sea kayaking adventure from Mullion Cove. We had a great time, paddling alongside seals and in and out of caves and coves.
