Three or more guided days along the Hawes, Reeth and Kettlewell corridor reveal the Yorkshire Dales at an unhurried pace. This mini break format combines valley walks, high fells and limestone country across consecutive hill days.
Wensleydale, Swaledale and Wharfedale each get their day on this mini break, from paths near Hawes and Reeth to limestone country around Kettlewell. Your guide plans daily routes and manages safety across consecutive hill days with a sustainable pace.
The specific programme and meeting points are confirmed in advance based on the scheduled mini break format. Routes are chosen to showcase the best of the Dales across several full guided days.
Hawes, Reeth and Kettlewell frame this break along the Yorkshire Dales corridor. Hawes sits in upper Wensleydale, Reeth anchors Swaledale with its sweeping valley views and Kettlewell opens access to Wharfedale's limestone pavements and high fells.
Overnight stays are your own choice. All three areas offer characterful pubs, B&Bs and guest houses within easy reach of the next day's walk. We can suggest villages to stay when you confirm your dates.
Good fitness for multiple consecutive fell days with significant ascent is important. Previous Dales or similar UK hill experience is strongly recommended before joining a multi-day programme.
Bring full waterproof kit for every day. Under-18s must walk with a participating adult who shares responsibility on the hill throughout the break.
Several consecutive days in limestone country are far easier with a guide who knows the Hawes to Kettlewell corridor intimately. We'll guide you through the Yorkshire Dales without you needing to research routes or navigate unfamiliar moorland yourself.
A guided Dales mini break covers more ground than a weekend with expert route planning each morning. We'll adjust daily routes for conditions while keeping the focus on safe, rewarding days in outstanding upland scenery.
The specific mini break programme depends on the scheduled dates. This covers Yorkshire Dales multi-day mini breaks with consecutive guided walk days across different valleys and fells along the Hawes, Reeth and Kettlewell corridor.
You'll receive a full daily schedule with walk details and meeting points before your break begins.
Accommodation is not included. Participants typically stay in Dales villages such as Hawes, Reeth or Kettlewell depending on the programme route.
We can suggest areas to stay when you confirm your dates. You'll arrange your own accommodation for all nights during the break.
Multi-day Dales breaks require good stamina for consecutive hill days with significant ascent. Previous experience on full-day Dales or Lake District walks is strongly recommended before joining.
Contact us through Adventuro Chat when confirming your dates if unsure about suitability.
Yes, for suitably experienced groups. Private Yorkshire multi-day breaks can be arranged on dates that suit your team. Contact us through Adventuro Chat with your preferred dates and group size.
Private programmes can focus on specific valleys, the Three Peaks area or limestone country.
Bring full hill walking kit for every day including waterproof boots, jacket and trousers, warm layers, and plenty of food and water. Dales weather can be wet and windy even in summer.
A detailed kit list is sent in advance of your break.
Participants must be at least 16 years old. Under-18s must be accompanied by a participating adult who also joins the break and shares responsibility on the hill.
Multi-day breaks are demanding and rarely suitable for younger teenagers unless on a private family arrangement.
Breaks run in most weather with daily route adjustments. Your guide may choose lower valleys or sheltered routes on days when exposed moorland is unsafe.
We'll contact you before the break if a significant programme change is needed.
No. Your guide leads every day throughout. Previous hill experience is essential for keeping pace on consecutive Dales days but map skills are not required.
Your guide manages route choice and safety on limestone pavement and open moorland each day.
Multi-day breaks typically run for three or more consecutive walk days with more varied terrain and greater total distance than a two-day walking weekend. They suit walkers who want a deeper immersion in the Dales landscape.
The exact format for your dates is confirmed in advance with a full daily schedule.
Daily meeting points vary across the Dales depending on the programme itinerary. Full directions and start times for each day are sent well in advance of your break.
Please arrive on time each morning to maximise walking time on the fells.
