Join us on Guraidhoo, a lively local island in the Maldives where warm channel dives, sandbank escapes and island culture come together across one unforgettable week. You stay in guesthouse accommodation on the island while our team handles transfers, diving and the social side from the moment you land in Malé.
You'll fly into Malé, where our guide meets you at the airport for a speedboat transfer to Guraidhoo (around forty-five minutes). We recommend an arrival flight landing around 09:00 so check-in and the welcome briefing run smoothly on your first day.
Across the week you'll complete thirteen organised dives, with two boat dives on most days plus night diving on the programme. Breakfast and lunch are included on diving days, and we weave in a desert sandbank trip, a snorkel session, a visit to an abandoned resort and a local beach barbecue evening. Between dives you'll explore the village, relax on the beach and enjoy genuine Maldivian island life rather than a private-resort bubble.
Guraidhoo is an inhabited island in Kaafu Atoll, a short boat ride from Malé. Channel sites bring pelagic action and occasional strong current, while sheltered reefs suit relaxed drifts and macro life in clear warm water.
Coral gardens, reef sharks and seasonal manta encounters make the central atolls one of the world's great dive destinations, and staying on a local island puts you right in the middle of it without resort prices.
Open Water certification or equivalent is required, with recent diving experience recommended for channel and current sites. You should be comfortable managing buoyancy in variable flow and buddy procedures in open water.
Bring your certification card, logbook and any personal kit you prefer, with exposure protection suited to warm water throughout the week.

Guraidhoo sits in Kaafu Atoll in the South Malé area, a short speedboat ride from Malé International Airport. You stay on an inhabited local island with harbour, guesthouses and village life, with house reefs, channels and day boats to nearby sites all within easy reach.
We run three departures in February and March 2027, when seas and visibility on the central atolls are typically at their best.

Your trip leader reviews your logbook before departure and can suggest a refresher if you have been out of the water for a while.
Your place covers six nights in island guesthouse accommodation, thirteen organised dives (two boat dives each day plus night diving on the programme), breakfast and lunch on diving days, and a sandbank excursion, snorkel session, visit to an abandoned resort and a local beach barbecue evening.
Airport speedboat transfers between Malé and Guraidhoo with our guide, centre coordination and pre-trip briefing are all part of the package. International flights, evening meals outside the barbecue night, equipment hire and personal expenses are separate.
Centre groups run from one to six people, so you can join solo, as a couple or with friends while keeping boat ratios comfortable on Guraidhoo.
We cap each departure at six so your guide can give everyone proper attention throughout the week.
February and March sit in the dry season for much of the Maldives, with generally calmer seas, warm water and strong visibility on the central atolls.
We have three confirmed 2027 departures: 27 February to 6 March, 6 to 13 March, and 20 to 27 March (Holy Week).
You fly into Malé International Airport, where our guide meets you for the speedboat to Guraidhoo. The crossing takes around forty-five minutes.
We recommend choosing an arrival flight landing around 09:00 where possible. On departure day the return speedboat leaves the island in the morning, so plan your homeward flight from around 17:00 onwards.
You stay in comfortable guesthouse accommodation on Guraidhoo, with sunrise views, easy walks to the harbour and a relaxed base between dive days.
Ismael leads the trip in person, coordinating transfers, diving and island activities so you always have a familiar face on hand throughout the week.
Most diving days include two boat dives to nearby reefs and channels, with surface intervals back on the island for breakfast or lunch.
Across the full week the programme totals thirteen dives, including night diving built into the schedule. Conditions on the day may adjust the exact order, but you can expect a full, varied dive plan from start to finish.
Bring your certification card, logbook, passport with at least six months validity, and exposure protection suited to warm water (a 3mm suit or rash vest is usually enough).
Pack reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, light island clothing and any personal dive kit you prefer. Complete the Maldives immigration form online at least twenty-four hours before you travel.
Day one is arrival: speedboat transfer, guesthouse check-in and a welcome briefing with the group. Days two through six combine two boat dives most days with island time, meals, the sandbank trip, snorkelling, the resort visit and the beach barbecue evening.
On the final morning you transfer back to Malé by speedboat for your flight home, usually after a relaxed last look around the island.
