A full day of adventure awaits in the heart of the Lake District, combining climbing, scrambling, abseiling and underground exploration into one action-packed experience. Designed for adventurous beginners and experienced outdoor enthusiasts alike, this challenge-filled day showcases some of Coniston's most interesting landscapes and hidden locations.
Your day begins with a rock scramble through the rugged hills surrounding Coniston. Working your way over natural rock features and varied terrain, you'll gradually gain height before heading towards the first major challenge of the day. Following a scenic walk, you'll tackle your first abseil, descending back to ground level under the guidance of your instructor.
Once safely down, the adventure continues within a former quarry environment. Here you'll encounter a series of challenges including water jumps of varying heights, short swims through deep quarry waters and opportunities to test your confidence in a unique outdoor setting. The route is designed to be progressive, allowing participants to build confidence as the day unfolds.
The final section takes you through an old miners' tunnel before emerging on the opposite side of the valley. After a short break and the chance to prepare for the grand finale, you'll head to Cathedral Cavern to take on an impressive 165ft abseil. Descending into one of the Lake District's most remarkable underground spaces provides a memorable finish to a day packed with adventure.
