Spend a full week in Tarifa combining kitesurfing progression with beach life, shared accommodation, and a relaxed surf atmosphere. Designed for all experience levels, the camp includes structured coaching across five days while leaving enough time to enjoy the town, beaches, and extra activities around the coast.
Throughout the week, lessons are organised according to your riding level, allowing complete beginners and more experienced riders to progress comfortably at their own pace. Teaching takes place in small semi-private groups with a maximum of two riders per instructor and individual kite setups for more time actively riding on the water.
Training sessions are spread across five days and use radio headset coaching, rescue support, and current-year equipment to help improve progression safely. Beginners focus on kite control, waterstarts, and independent riding, while advanced riders can continue improving transitions, jumps, and technical manoeuvres depending on their goals.
Away from the water, the camp atmosphere is built around meeting other riders and enjoying Tarifa’s surf culture. Accommodation is based in a shared surfers residence in the old town, giving easy access to cafés, restaurants, beaches, and nightlife. A weekly community dinner is also organised every Sunday, creating a social environment for guests arriving throughout the week.
When conditions allow, there is also time to enjoy additional activities around Tarifa including yoga, paddleboarding, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, and beach days around the coastline.
Positioned on the southern coast of Spain, Tarifa is one of Europe’s best-known kitesurfing destinations thanks to its reliable wind conditions and long Atlantic beaches. Lessons usually take place around Los Lances and Valdevaqueros, where wide open riding areas provide ideal conditions for both beginner progression and advanced freeride sessions.
Beyond the beaches, Tarifa combines a laid-back surf atmosphere with historic streets, rooftop bars, local cafés, and a strong watersports culture running throughout the season. Meeting arrangements are normally organised around Agua Chiringuito depending on the wind forecast and lesson location for the day.
Accommodation during the camp is based in a shared surfers residence located in Tarifa’s old town. Guests stay in a social environment popular with travelling kiters, with shared spaces designed for relaxing after sessions and meeting other riders throughout the week.
The residence includes shared kitchen facilities and a rooftop terrace, while remaining within walking distance of cafés, shops, restaurants, and Tarifa’s beach atmosphere. Alternative hotel and apartment accommodation options may also be available for guests wanting more privacy or additional comfort during their stay.
Complete beginners are welcome on the camp, and no previous kitesurfing experience is required to join the beginner coaching groups. More experienced riders can also participate, with lessons adapted according to individual progression levels and riding goals.
Participants should feel comfortable swimming and prepared for physical activity in changing wind and beach conditions. Instruction is structured progressively to help riders improve steadily throughout the week.
Unlike short standalone lessons, the camp structure allows riders to progress consistently over several days while spending time fully immersed in Tarifa’s kitesurfing environment. Smaller teaching groups, modern equipment, and rescue support help create a more personal and supportive learning experience throughout the week.
Accommodation, coaching, and the social atmosphere are combined into one experience, making it easier for solo travellers and groups alike to meet other riders while improving their kitesurfing in one of Europe’s most recognised wind destinations.
Yes, complete beginners are welcome and no previous kitesurfing experience is required. Lessons are organised according to riding level, allowing new riders to focus on safety, kite control, and waterstarts while progressing steadily across the week.
More experienced riders are grouped separately so coaching can remain adapted to each participant’s ability and goals rather than mixing completely different levels together.
The camp includes either 15 or 20 hours of coaching spread across five days depending on the package selected. Sessions are organised around the wind conditions and rider progression throughout the week.
Lessons are structured to balance progression with recovery time, helping riders improve consistently without spending every hour on the beach or in the water.

No, lessons are organised in small semi-private groups with a maximum of two students per instructor during coaching sessions. Each rider also uses their own kite setup to maximise progression and active riding time.
Smaller group sizes allow instructors to adapt feedback more personally while maintaining safer teaching conditions on the beach and in the water.
The camp includes current-year kitesurfing equipment suited to your level and the wind conditions during the week. Equipment includes the kite, board, harness, wetsuit, and radio headset communication system.
Using updated equipment helps improve both progression and safety, especially for riders learning kite control and waterstarts for the first time.
Lesson schedules are organised around the wind forecast each day, and flexibility is built into the weekly structure to help recover missed hours if conditions change unexpectedly.
Tarifa’s reliable wind conditions normally provide plenty of riding opportunities, but safety and suitable conditions always remain the priority during coaching sessions.
