Young drivers can gain their first taste of off-road driving in a safe, controlled environment with expert support from a BORDA-trained instructor. This 30-minute session is tailored for juniors aged 12 to 17 and includes hands-on time behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery TD5. An adult must accompany the young driver throughout the experience.
The session starts with a safety briefing and a short demonstration drive by the instructor to introduce the vehicle’s controls and the course layout. This helps the junior driver understand how to handle the Land Rover on the gentle terrain, including straights, small humps, and simple obstacles designed for young learners.
Following the demo, the junior driver takes the wheel for the majority of the time, applying the guidance given and building confidence with personalised instruction. The adult passenger stays in the vehicle to provide extra support and ensure safety. The course is designed to be both fun and educational, offering a great introduction to off-road driving.
