Learn climbing and abseiling skills in a safe, supportive indoor environment, whether it’s your first time or you want to improve existing skills. Sessions are available at indoor climbing centres across Devon, with options for children, beginners, and small groups.
Children’s party taster sessions offer a fun introduction to climbing and abseiling for up to 10 children. Activities include short climbs on indoor walls, abseiling under instructor supervision, and simple games to build confidence and enjoyment. Safety equipment such as ropes, helmets, and harnesses are provided, and all activities are led by qualified instructors.
Instructor-led indoor climbing sessions are available for small groups of 2–4 people. Sessions focus on learning climbing techniques, including top rope and bottom rope climbing, basic belaying, and knot skills. Personalised guidance helps improve technique and build confidence, with the pace tailored to each participant’s ability.
Sidvale climbing taster indoor sessions provide a one-hour introduction to climbing for beginners. You will be shown how to use ropes, harnesses, and climbing walls safely while practising climbing and descending techniques. Sessions are suitable for children or adults and give a hands-on experience with expert supervision throughout.
