Spend a full day exploring Mallorca’s southwest coastline aboard a fully electric llaüt, visiting the protected waters around the Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve and El Toro. Combining swimming, snorkelling and paddle boarding with quiet coastal cruising, this experience offers a more relaxed and environmentally conscious way to discover the island from the sea.
With six hours on the water and a small group atmosphere, there is plenty of time to enjoy sheltered coves, clear water swimming spots and coastal scenery away from the busier sections of the bay.
The experience begins from Port Adriano, where you’ll board the electric llaüt and cruise quietly along Mallorca’s southwest coastline. The electric motor creates a calm atmosphere on board while reducing noise and emissions as you travel towards the protected waters around the Malgrats Islands and El Toro.
With six hours available, the skipper can explore a wider area of coastline and select suitable locations for swimming and snorkelling depending on sea conditions. The marine reserve areas are known for their clear water and underwater visibility, making them particularly well suited to snorkelling and relaxed swimming stops. Paddle boards and the underwater sea scooter are also available throughout the day for guests wanting to spend more time exploring on and beneath the water.
Between stops, guests can relax on board with refreshments while enjoying views of Mallorca’s rugged southwest coastline and open Mediterranean waters. The full-day format creates a slower and more flexible pace, allowing plenty of time to enjoy both the marine environment and the experience of travelling aboard a traditional-style electric boat.
The experience departs from Port Adriano in Calvià on Mallorca’s southwest coast, approximately 20km from Palma. The marina offers direct access to several of the island’s best coastal areas for swimming, snorkelling and protected marine exploration.
The nearby Malgrats Islands Marine Reserve and El Toro coastline are recognised for their ecological importance and clearer waters. These protected areas support marine biodiversity while offering excellent conditions for low-impact boating and water-based activities.
No previous experience is required for this experience. Guests should simply feel comfortable around water if they wish to swim or use the included snorkelling and paddle boarding equipment.
Participants should bring swimwear, towels and sunscreen. Hats, sunglasses and lightweight clothing are strongly recommended due to the extended time spent outdoors during the full-day trip.
Using a fully electric llaüt allows guests to experience Mallorca’s coastline in a quieter and lower-impact way compared to traditional fuel-powered boats. Reduced engine noise creates a calmer atmosphere while helping minimise environmental impact in sensitive marine areas.
The experience focuses on small groups, responsible boating and helping guests connect more closely with Mallorca’s coastal environment. By exploring protected waters around the Malgrats Islands and El Toro, the trip also highlights the importance of preserving local marine ecosystems for future generations.
