Share your first underwater breaths with someone you know on a Discover Scuba Diving session for two in Cabo de Palos. One PADI instructor will coach you both through skills and a six-metre open-water dive in clear Mediterranean water.
Arriving together at our Los Belones school, you'll fit equipment side by side while your instructor explains signals, equalisation and how to stay together underwater throughout the session. In shallow water you practise regulator breathing, mask clearing and buoyancy as a pair, with the instructor between you and pace set to whoever needs more time.
When you both feel ready, your instructor leads a relaxed open-water dive to six metres where sharing the moment often helps nervous beginners relax. After surfacing you rinse kit together and debrief about what you saw among local reef and seagrass along the Cabo de Palos coast.
Open-water training uses sites around the Cabo de Palos headland and marine reserve, one of the most respected dive areas on Spain's east coast. Posidonia meadows, rocky reef and seasonal visitors create a memorable backdrop for a first dive together.
Los Belones and the harbour village are a short drive from La Manga and Cartagena. Many guests combine the session with lunch by the sea or an afternoon along the coastal road after surfacing.
Both participants must be at least 10 and swim confidently in open water. No prior scuba experience is required for either person, and we'll teach every skill from scratch before your first sea dive together.
Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian present on the day. Tell your instructor about any concerns at the briefing so we can adjust pace, depth or technique for either buddy throughout the session.
We'll keep you with the same instructor throughout, ideal for partners, friends or parent-and-teen pairs trying scuba for the first time together. Small, well-supervised groups mean neither buddy is left behind during skills or on the dive itself.
Sharing a first breath underwater often becomes the highlight of a Murcia holiday. Our PADI team knows local Cabo de Palos sites and chooses routes that suit two beginners diving side by side on the same day.
You and your partner fit equipment together while the instructor explains signals, equalisation and how to stay together underwater throughout the session.
Questions are answered for both of you before any water entry so expectations match and neither person feels surprised by the next step in the programme.
In shallow water you practise skills as a pair with the instructor monitoring both of you. Pace follows whoever needs more time without holding back the more confident buddy.
Encouragement from someone you know often makes mask clearing and regulator recovery feel easier than in a larger group on a standard introductory day.
The dive to six metres lets you explore reef and posidonia together while the instructor watches both participants closely from start to finish.
Surfacing together makes a natural shared memory to take home from Cabo de Palos and a good story to tell friends who have never tried scuba diving.
This session is designed for exactly two participants sharing one PADI instructor for the full Discover Scuba Diving experience from briefing through to the open-water dive.
Both people receive full scuba kit, skills training in shallow water and the guided open-water dive to six metres, making it a natural choice for couples, friends or parent-and-teen pairs.
Neither person needs any prior scuba certification or previous dive experience. Both participants should swim confidently, meet the minimum age of ten and be ready to learn together in shallow water before the open-water dive.
Your instructor adapts pace so neither buddy is left behind during skills practice or on the open-water dive, which often helps nervous beginners relax when they share the experience with someone they trust.
Yes, and that is one reason many guests choose this format. Sharing the briefing, skills practice and first dive with a partner, friend or family member often reduces anxiety compared with joining a larger group of strangers.
Tell your instructor about any concerns at the start. Either person can repeat skills, stay shallower or surface if needed, and there is never pressure to continue if one of you feels uncomfortable.
The open-water portion follows standard Discover Scuba Diving limits with a maximum depth of six metres under direct instructor supervision throughout the dive.
That depth is enough to see reef life and get a genuine sense of scuba diving while keeping the experience manageable for two first-timers on the same day in Cabo de Palos water.
Each person should bring swimwear, a towel and sun protection. We provide all dive equipment including wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask and fins for both participants.
Arrive together a few minutes early at c/ Isaac Peral, 28, Los Belones so kit fitting for two people does not delay the group briefing before we head to the dive site.
Sessions start at our dive school at c/ Isaac Peral, 28, Los Belones, Murcia 30385. Travel to the open-water dive site is arranged after the briefing once both participants are fitted with equipment.
Transport to the Los Belones meeting point is not included. Most guests drive or take a taxi from Cabo de Palos, La Manga, Cartagena or Murcia city.
This format is scheduled for two participants sharing one instructor. A third guest would need a separate arrangement on a different date so everyone receives proper supervision in the water.
Get in touch before your visit if your party size changes so we can suggest the best option without leaving anyone without a place in the water.
Both participants should swim confidently in open water. You do not need to be athletes, but tell your instructor about any water confidence concerns at the briefing so we can adjust pace or offer extra support.
Either buddy can repeat skills, stay shallower or surface if needed. There is never pressure to continue if one of you feels uncomfortable.
Scuba diving depends on calm enough sea conditions and safe visibility for training dives. If the forecast is unsuitable, we'll contact both participants to reschedule rather than run an open-water dive that feels unsafe.
We'll contact you as early as possible when a change is needed so you can rearrange travel and accommodation plans without losing the chance to dive together on another day.
Typical sightings include seabream, wrasse, octopus and cuttlefish among rocky reef and posidonia beds. Your instructor points out active species during the dive and adjusts the route to suit both buddies' comfort.
Wildlife varies by season and conditions, which is part of diving in a living Mediterranean sea. Sharing what you spot underwater often becomes one of the best memories from a first dive together.
