You'll spend about two hours at Deep Dive Dubai for a first scuba session, and you don't need a certificate beforehand. An instructor will stay with you from the brief on the deck through the first breaths in shallow water and, when you are ready, into the deep tank.
When you arrive at Deep Dive Dubai, you'll start on dry land with your instructor. They'll show you the regulator, the mask and the hand signals you'll use once your face is in the water. We'll help you kit up on the deck so you can settle the straps before anyone steps in, and the first minutes stay in the shallow area while you get used to breathing from the tank. You'll practise clearing water from the mask, finding the regulator again if you need to, and staying level so the kit sits comfortably.
We won't move you toward the deep water until those skills feel familiar and you look calm. When you and the instructor are ready, you'll swim into the deep pool together. The tank holds more than 14 million litres and drops to 60 metres, so the view straight down is part of the fun. How far you go is the instructor's call on the day, based on your comfort, and it is not a promise to use the full depth.
The building wraps around the tank, so you'll stay indoors from the first brief to towel-down. You'll have time to talk through the session on the deck afterwards before you change and head off.
Deep Dive Dubai sits in Nad Al Sheba, on the Dubai side of the city, inside a purpose-built hall wrapped around a single 60-metre indoor tank. The water is fresh, filtered and evenly lit, so even on a first visit you can see a long column of blue below the deck rather than murky seawater.
Please come to the venue. We'll send meeting details before your day. Taxis and ride-hailing drop at the entrance; please allow time to find reception, change, and complete the health forms before your slot. We send the meeting time beforehand so you are not waiting on the deck in wet kit.
You'll need to be at least 11 years old and comfortable in water. This session is for people who have not completed a scuba course. Anyone under 18 should arrive with a parent or guardian for the paperwork.
Please complete the medical form honestly. If you have a condition that affects diving, please bring a doctor's note. You don't need your own scuba kit.
Discover scuba at Deep Dive is a long session with one instructor and a small group, not a quick turn through the pool. We book the right start time for your booked session, and we send clear meeting instructions before you travel.
Shallow practice comes before the deep column, and nobody is rushed toward depth. Your two hours stay focused on first breaths, mask skills, and a guided swim in one of Dubai's most unusual indoor tanks.
Please meet us at Deep Dive Dubai. We'll send meeting details before your day. Arrive with time to change and fill in the health forms before you go in the water. If hotel collection is included in your booking, please wait in your hotel lobby at the time we send you.
You'll meet us at Deep Dive Dubai. We'll send meeting details before your day. We send you the start time beforehand, so you know when to arrive at the venue or when hotel collection is included in your booking.
We'd suggest giving yourself time to change and complete the health forms before you enter the water. Late arrival can shorten the time you have with the instructor in the pool.
This session is for guests who have not completed a scuba course. You don't need prior experience. Your instructor stays with you in the water and teaches the first skills in the shallow area before you go deeper.
Please bring the completed health form to the pool deck. If you already hold a scuba card, this hour is not the right fit, because the brief starts from the first breaths.
You'll need to be at least 11 years old. Anyone under 18 should arrive with a parent or guardian who can complete the venue paperwork.
The session is still a proper scuba introduction, not a splash about. If you're coming with a younger guest, please tell us their age so we can confirm they meet the venue rule.
You'll spend about two hours at the venue. That covers the briefing, kit check, time in the shallow water, and the guided swim in the deep pool.
How far you go down depends on your comfort and the instructor's call on the day. The pool itself is 60 metres deep, but a first session does not mean you will use the full depth.
Groups stay small, with a maximum of six guests. You work with an instructor rather than wandering the pool on your own.
If you arrive as a pair or a family, we keep you together where the venue can. Solo guests join the next available discover session.
Deep Dive Dubai is an indoor pool, so rain and wind outside do not stop the session. The water is filtered continuously and the venue stays open year-round.
If you feel unwell, congested, or have ear trouble on the day, tell the instructor before you kit up. We would rather pause the dive than send you into the deep water unwell.
Hotel transfer may be available as an add-on at checkout. We'll send your start time and whether collection is included before your day.
If you're making your own way, come to the meeting point we send you. Public transport and taxis serve the area.
You should be comfortable in water and able to follow simple instructions in English. A full medical form is completed at the venue before you dive.
If you have asthma, a heart condition, or have recently had surgery, please bring written clearance from a doctor. The instructor can refuse the dive if the form is incomplete.
Please wear a swimsuit under comfortable clothes you can change out of. Bring a towel, a change of clothes, and a hairbrush if you have long hair, because the venue has changing rooms.
Please leave jewellery in your bag. You'll be given the scuba kit for the session. You don't need to own a mask or regulator.
Please tell the instructor before you leave the shallow shelf. The first minutes are there so you can get used to breathing from the tank, and nobody is moved into deeper water until you look ready.
You can sit on the deck, adjust the mask, and try again. We would rather you take that pause than push on with a leaking mask or a tight chest.
